I was just stating my disappointment in the MD event, which now makes the same content alot harder
I've been grinding through lvls the past few weeks enjoying LS, this event kind of puts a stop to it - at least regarding my Ninja climbs...

*I've gotten some good advice and feedback in this thread, and will level some feeders untill the event passes.

while i kinda understand to a point, i get confused when you mention other games. similar genre you are expected to upgrade gear in order to do harder content. how is this any different?

This is different because its the same content, but alot harder without any reward

How could he possibly know? He looks at it all from a statistical average. "100 people played an average of 2 hours each today, and 5 items 80-140ee dropped, seems good."

You and I look at it like, "I spent 12 hours, did 1 solo explore and 3 team whistles, and found fuckall. I could have gotten an extra 2 team whistles without the difficulty."

There really is no extra reward to extra monster difficulty, because from an actual player's standpoint, drops are shit either way 99.99999% of the time, the only thing that improves is your risk of death, and the time it takes to MQ.

Monster difficulty definitely yields better drops if you solo. That being said it slows down a climb to the point where I’d probably have found just as much without it because I’d have gone through the climb faster and started another.

I like MD but I think the amount that spawns needs to be re-examined. There should never be 80-90% MD events. Even people who have spent hundreds of thousands have trouble dealing with that. It doesn’t make the game fun and makes plenty of people unwilling to play during the event all together.




I wish I’d have kept track of what I’ve found the last two years. The drops post-rewrite are leaps and bounds better than the 5 years prior to it.

Don't see a full 1-71 setup there. Don't see a single perfect roll, or anything XIII-XIV range listed.

Not knocking your finds. But 2 years, hundreds of climbs, over 1000 guild points, and a reset, and that's the best you have to show?

Imagine if that were the case while playing D2, for instance. Compare Normal to Nightmare to Hell and the quality of drop differences. LS monster difficulty events? Great! Go from nonstop t1-t7 drops wtih t1 mods to nonstop t1-t8 drops with t1 mods. Super.

And every thousand hours you put in, you find one thing halfway decent? Not better.

Edit: Assuming no magic luck used, there is one perfect roll for one stat on one item tier 8. Minor correction.

feel free to experiment with some other styles during this event...

I myself enjoy running low tier maps with EPs...then re-rolling to play the next map.
