The reason it’s being suggested is because people like to farm items at certain levels . If they level past that level they are under the assumption that the drop tiers will not be as good. Most people pick around 63 plus or minus.
As the game is now. The only way to stay at this level is to before you hit 100% experience is to kill your self until your back down to 0%exp ( somthing you currently cannot do on hardcore but we can do in soft core)
Your reason for voting no is that it cannot be used on hardcore and would not be fair since it would only be for “sc”
You are wrong. It would actually allow the hardcore players to farm like the soft core players do.
With exp being lockable and stopping your char from gaining a level you no longer have to kill yourself over and over .

I agree with Plaguefear (just above)... pity I am sober and bored and this is taking up some of that time. BUT, in response.
Let us say you have wpn/armor/charm (main) @ level 50 with 9ml on each, so you want to just farm level 50 in the hopes of getting anything good from Tier IX and above (for example) ... how does locking your experience NOT stop you from dying? Or are you going to build a pure vitality build?
So, people are still going to take the risk either way on SC, but you can NOT use those items at that level with ML without dying.
Comprehend now? Can it get abused? It can for SC because even in death, it doesn't matter, you still have the ML gear.
