Why would that not be not available in hc if it was added?

As the game is now what they are doing is not able to be done in hc so it’s already broken by your logic


Locking Experience does not mean you can NOT die, it just means that you can NOT gain a level.

EDIT: Like someone stated earlier using just ML gear and dying more times than their normal character. Mind you, I suppose you could just run cata at lower level monsters... downfall... less drop chance right? but at least you won't die as often or gain experience.

The reason they die is because they cannot “lock their exp”

If they could “lock their exp”

They would not die

Why the hell would they die on purpose if they did not have to.

Edit: since you edited I still think you do not understand the reason they are dying .

It’s so they don’t level. If the exp was lockable there would be no more dying.

On sc we lose xp when we die so we die to stay at farming level, if we could lock xp there would be no need to death farm.

Actually it is the same reason like the old days people build a Mage to do welling when it use to be in town because they were the best to well higher tier items and reap the rewards. This is just another way of farming, but like the old days, they had a dedicated farmer... so what is the difference in just doing what people did then to now since it is easier now?

Let’s stay on topic here lil guy.

The suggestion is to be able to lock exp so you cannot level.

The reason it’s being suggested is because people like to farm items at certain levels . If they level past that level they are under the assumption that the drop tiers will not be as good. Most people pick around 63 plus or minus.

As the game is now. The only way to stay at this level is to before you hit 100% experience is to kill your self until your back down to 0%exp ( somthing you currently cannot do on hardcore but we can do in soft core)

Your reason for voting no is that it cannot be used on hardcore and would not be fair since it would only be for “sc”

You are wrong. It would actually allow the hardcore players to farm like the soft core players do.

With exp being lockable and stopping your char from gaining a level you no longer have to kill yourself over and over .

We all agree that its a terrible idea now also though, so arguing with crazy kiwi drunks is the only reason to post here now :D

I agree with Plaguefear (just above)... pity I am sober and bored and this is taking up some of that time. BUT, in response.

Let us say you have wpn/armor/charm (main) @ level 50 with 9ml on each, so you want to just farm level 50 in the hopes of getting anything good from Tier IX and above (for example) ... how does locking your experience NOT stop you from dying? Or are you going to build a pure vitality build?

So, people are still going to take the risk either way on SC, but you can NOT use those items at that level with ML without dying.

Comprehend now? Can it get abused? It can for SC because even in death, it doesn't matter, you still have the ML gear.
