I think that you should be the one to make the poll to ensure that people know that it’s official

While slush is a good guy, I don’t see everyone voting on it.

There's one thing I still don't quite understand. If you're cooking and get disconnected, you get the fish in your inventory at whatever % cooked you were disconnected at. The same is true for suffusencing. Are fishing and rods so much different that they snap instead of appearing back in your inventory at the point they were when you're disconnected?

While annoying, it’s not the same thing. Good fishing rods can cost hundreds of fg. This is not a solution to fix all issues, it’s a solution to not screw fishermen.

I agree, this would be a nice work around. I'm just wondering why disconnects break them at all while items of other skills don't suffer the same fate

Read Njaguar’s previous posts and that will become apparent to you. I can’t say if there is a difference in how likely you are to d/c. Probably has to do with bias if you don’t lose as many white rods.
