1. Not once have I seen too many options in the settings menu and been like "oh no, fuck this game its got too many options
2. Generally toggles are labeled for what they do and if the person flips it and suddenly gets 1 extra mob, they should be smart enough to flip it off again if they cant handle it.
3. Maybe the drop in speed isnt noticeable for someone struggling to kill mobs to start with but personally Id love the option to increase the solo mob cap. 4-5 mob cap would speed things up SO much. Sometimes I have a skiller sit in town while I do 1-15 so its faster. When you are 1 shotting mobs using multicast/multistrike, the lack of the 3rd mob is VERY noticeable.

1. You haven't played enough new dev games, its a common theme among successors that there is a learning gradient. Less you have played the less you should need to know.

2. The vast majority of new player will not know what the word " mob" even means, you give way too much credit

3. This is an entirely different discussion, I'm all for giving you an option for 9 mobs if you want it. Just do one climb first to prove it.

1. Yes and once you have passed those learning tools they DONT REAPPLY THEMSELVES.
2. Enemy, mob, monster, opponent, adversary... any of these words SHOULD clue you in on what is being changed. You cant fix stupid though.
3. Ive done over 400 climbs on HC alone I dont feel i need to PROVE anything any more. If the character has over 1,000,000 kills its safe to say it no longer needs training wheels put on at the start of each season.

you are literally complaining about .0025% of your time, you do that .0025% faster than most people and you don't even have to do it at all if you get a group together (which should be easy by 1mil kills).

E: also its not training wheels if everyone has them, its core gameplay

If you purchase a new game, the default is set to easy mode usually, or normal. Everyone has it but almost always you can choose to switch to hard mode.

Would be no different in my opinion.

I dislike soloing the first climb because you can not get the good objectives.

I fail to see how number of kills on a character affects the likelihood of getting a group together. I must have forgotten that just because you've killed a bunch of monsters in the past that magically makes 4 other people play actively and at the same time.

And yeah its definitely training wheels otherwise it wouldnt be removed for every climb afterwards. The setting is applied to TRAIN you to play the game before the base difficulty is accessed on subsequent runs. The core game play includes a max of 3 mobs for solo and when the training wheels are active it is reduced to 2.

Bringing your view of this to real life: You learn to ride a bike with training wheels in your neighborhood. You get really good at it and remove the training wheels. Later on (possibly months or years later) you decide to go for a mountain biking trip in another city/state/country and when you arrive you find you have to complete the first bike trail with training wheels on before you can remove them and ride normally. We all know you know how to ride a bike proficiently and there is no reason for the training wheels given your experience riding but none the less you are FORCED to use the training wheels before you can ride normally.

Seriously think how retarded that sounds outside of LS.

You completely misapplied the logic, its like taking skiing lessons. I can ski fine but I like to take the free lessons so I don't mess up on something silly and get myself killed.

E: and it takes up a very small portion of the day

No here ... :)

Why when I play solo I prefer to get better drop chance etc and I'm and based on my experience harder to kill mob spawn gives higher chance for good items .. I hate to encounter sine or double EP's which I can kill in few hits w/o any good drop from it.
In short words no pain no gain :D
