Problem is chance of crafting a profit is low even at the 1 fg per item everyone pays now.
You will be broke in 2 days and nothing will have changed.

ive got anoher 60k fg worth of gear on poe still to sell. please go away with your negativity. that is definatly a problem.

I quit the game long time ago when I actually found no enjoy to try to make forum gold in other games so that I can pay my taxes or buy transmutes for 1-3 fgs each.

Why would I actually want to play other games or buy forum gold with cash to pay a paper game? Where is the fun in that? Item drops are so low, taxes are huge, and so many other stuffs happen that the game is a nightmare.

Not to mention If you start this game from scrach at level 35 you will do zero damage to mobs.

I would rather play decent games. This game is not even decent anymore.

Dont forget the double tap paul performed removing the arena/no maze options :( that was the final blow for most of the players who stayed around after muting was killed

Eh, one problem being nobody gives any time for new players. Gunslinger is great for giving ways for new players and old to earn fg.
But when I started only a few would give me the time of day, if I don't have godly gear I can't play with you leave you alone.
U want a higher player base? Play with new players instead of your godly friends only.
I'm new myself and every single new player I see I immediately team up and try to help, am I the only one that does this?

I do it too :) (in most cases, especially if I'm not doing anything else) but remember to some people, Gps are the only thing that matters here. ^^ so ofc those players won't want to slow down their climbs - I understand that. ^^ but someone like me that likes to play more casually, not a problem to stick around to help the new guys if I can

[edit] I think all of us have been helped within this game at one point or another. Some people get helped every day ;) nothing wrong with paying it forward!

It is not negativity it is reality, you could spend all 60k and still not get an item worth 1k fg back.
Sure you will have helped the community short term but everyone overpaying for items will not change the reality that the drop rate is terrible, it is not long term feasible to implement your plan, in the end all our fg will just go to those most willing to take advantage of your generosity but the community will not grow because in the end the issue is with the core game not the community.
It is like putting a band aid on a gunshot wound, you can patch it up but the damage is still going to be there and unless some one gets that bullet out infection will set in.
What LS needs is better drop rates from EP's and wells and more higher tier drops, in the end the reason no one plays anymore is because this game is incredibly expensive to play and there is no chance of recouping that investment or profiting.

You know. And I k ow, that is Paul put a way into the game to earn actual currency.... even if it was on average 50fg a month for an average player who does say.. 5mq a month... we would get an immense influx of players.

Would be so simple too. A rare square in the maze, exactly the same as ep, light, trapdoor, that gave 2fg to each person that was in the game. Or 1-4.

BAM. Immense interest in exploring, immense interest in people from other games. And it would snowball that fast.

And I'm pretty sure that it would not be site breaking for economics....

Change the marketplace from under 20fg to under 100fg so a bunch of crappier items could get posted there instead of getting bumped for a billion useless bumps.

Change the above 100 from 5% to 6% to make up for that loss.

Give recruiting bonuses to currently players for encouraging new players to try it out, only paid after they do 1,2,10 mq's

It would make a world of a difference. I'm an economist. These are simple changes that would have a drastic effect on the popularity of the game.

LS Works as an effective FG sink and should remain that way, what we need is better drop rates and an easier crafting system so that people are encouraged to bring fg to LS for profit so it can actually work as a sink.
