you play only @ HC so you don't have lager spectrum @ HC it could be not OP but @ SC when we got lots of GG items and unspawns caster will be ultra OP

Core doesn't matter in regards of giving oneself the option to charge abilities however they choose.

You could have entire groups of people spec'd into powerstrike/revenge/doublestrike and basically charge them all with weapon and be able to lay down insane damage.

Paladin's could have all their healing abiltiies be charged with weapon and essentially only have to use their heals for the powered casting from abilities and be incredibly mana efficient.

It goes on and on. This isn't a core related thing.

Just an idea that overall would bring too much power to abilities. Abilities main problem is they are rather basic and many of them aren't feasible to be used effectively.

It's just Rex being Rex.

Well... since it does need tweaking... maybe there could me more ideas.

Okay... maybe this could be an idea.

You choose from character creation [Level 1] whether you are going to be:

1. Pure Melee [So you choose a Melee Tree]
2. Pure Caster [So you choose a Caster Tree]
3. Hybrid Caster / Healer [So you choose from Caster / Healer Tree]
4. Hybrid Melee / Healer [So you choose from Melee / Healer Tree]
5. Hybrid All... yup you got it... Heal / Cast / Melee Tree.

Now... once you have selected the tree for your climb... you get abilities for those trees, and ONLY for those trees.

So you go pure Melee... yes... you can opt for MultiStrike / Powerstrike and let us say Two Hit back... now... since you have
the tree... you can ALSO opt for either Weapon / Hit Taken to charge up.

You get the idea... but... I still think what I stated above should be tweaked by the Level in which YOU can choose that ability... max 3 as it is.

Give me your ideas on this.
