I agree that the game isn't friendly for newcomers. I recently found that out, and since I don't play for a long time any other online game, I didn't have another way to be part of ladderslasher community that wasn't purchasing fg, which I did.

The market fee damages the game, since there is no way to get fg "from the bank", you only send fg to the bank (market fee, vault slots, guild transfers, topic title features). This with all the players that left, making huges sellout and removing a lot of fg from the economy, made us arrive at the point that we are right now. (a lot of items available and no one with fg to purchase --> low prices --> low economy turnover)

With all that said, njaguar realized that the economy is flooded by average/good quality items, and this was bringing all the prices down. What if good items become harder to get? Yes, he brought us 5 new "born-to-be-a-sidemod" magical stats. The result: it's harder to get items with our main mods (ee/int/dex/str). In my honest opinion, this was a desperate action.

Another interesting point is the response of the players for the update. You can't measure in the short terms if an update was good or not only with what the players said. You need time to evaluate them. A lot of time passed and the lack of arena is still hurting the community. It's not normal. I'm not saying that it should be back, but I'm saying that players wanted to be able to play alone with the same speed, or at least a similar speed, of a full group. Be rewarded for a strategy to kill a lot of monsters was a great idea with the MCC that was removed. There were hybrid builds, pure vita, and a lot of other ways.

Please, again, I'm not saying arena should be back. I remember when life steal was nerfed. The prompt response from the community was terrible. Who remembers of that now? Since I started playing again, I didn't see one single soul saying anything about that nerf. Who lived that days know how this update was received.

That's why rouxt said something that isn't just good, but also necessary. There should be some way to get fg. Ladderslasher's GPD could be calculated and, with a dead market, we have low taxes, low consumption and low savings. as I stated, we also exported a lot of fg to other games (PoE, D3, D2) and imported few new players. Any doubt we going to bankrupt direction?

I didn't play for long this new version. I played a few of the old version tho.

The economy was moved by the muteables and what really turned the economy down was the muting skills. Now that mutes are possible again by a few users, the community should start to rise the prices of muteables again.

A magical level 55 dagger used to be sold for 30fg. This will automatically happen as soon as people realize that SZSZ is purchasing every single level 55 item available for 1fg. If there is only available items for 5fg, he will pay the price and still profit. And when more people can mute level 55, and I believe 2 more will reach that this year, prices can be even higher.

The pilot needs to be improved. It's not a feature as it is nowadays. I don't know how much time coding is needed for that, but should be done.

well, thats a point. Also thought about that lately. Since im not able to get more then 2 mutables/day (hc) and there is a second guy in exact the same range, i thought about offering 2-3 fg each mutable.
But on the other hand: you know how much mutes you need to do to get a decent sellable outcome ? And he added 5 more stats, so now its even harder to get good outcomes... And again: no buyers , so who should i sell it to ? Thats thausends of fg to invest to get a sellable for a few hundreds ? ....

That , with the problems i have paying the vault ( not even my hundreds hours invested into muting helped ) . ruined my fun to play.


First of all the game needs more players , maybe more droprate of higher quality items and most problems this game have would solve themself, thats what i think :)

With the new leveling system some higher lvl gear would be nice. 60+. I've been wanting that for a while now. It will give skillers a new goal too :)

This i wanna see maybe even raise mq to 81 and ad 60-65-70 gear
maybe add new item slots like a pants and helmet
add new classes with new gears types like bows or maces and stuff.
maybe add helpfull potions with adds like : This potion protects u from magical /physical attacks for the duration of 5 minutes
stuff like that

As long as it takes me now to get to 71..... :blink: ( I lvl like a 3 toed sloth on tranquilizers) I would :love: to see this. :D

e/ maybe some kind of new skill as well.... no clue what right now but it's a thought ;)

I think increasing player base. That's #1 priority. And I think more of first time players. If that one thing is accomplished it will bring back older players as well. But all the older guys who made fg before the muting system and arena was here; so many have moved on to never ever come back. So how does LS bring in new players with a higher percentage of those new players staying? This is a trading site, the bulk of users who've yet to play this game, their mind set is making site currency to split on the things they want in the various games they play. LS will never compete with all of a gamers time spent gaming but if you can pull a new user in, and they do 5 climbs a week, that's huge over just 100 new players. Make at least enough fg to support their ls playing with a chance to make a larger amount for whatever else they'd like to spend it on.

LS will not draw in players and keep them off the graphics that other games have of course or take up all of someones gaming time. At the same time something can't be added to the point it would kill the game's economy altogether, that's a fine line Paul has to consider I would think. I thought of the fg per gp point but I'm sure there are other small ways that could add up. The small increases of players and fg into the LS market leads to everything. It helps climbing, skilling, buying and selling of everything, competition you name it.

I know this next thing doesn't affect gameplay, but it will achieve interest in LS nonetheless.

It might be cool to award special "Slasher" tags under our forum names. With tiered titles if you will, based on the amount of MQs you have completed on your account.

Although like you said, it won't affect gameplay,
It is an interesting idea :)
