I disagree, the drop rate is far too high for groups, and far too low for solo. It needs to be balanced. If no one is in range, it's pointless to solo since you cannot find high lvl items and it takes forever. Also, all the newbs that started before this patch did just fine. Hell, the best geared players in the game started out with nothing and built up from there. The current problems with economy are that high end gear is no longer wanted. Low-mid grade gear is well suited to complete any quest in the game. Where before if you wanted to complete all the quests, you needed high end gear. So why spend lot's of fg when it's no longer needed? So now when the noob finds something really good...he can't sell it because nobody wants to spend fg on it.

If you need proof of my last "point" check the trading forum, it's dead. Lot's of people trying to sell gear, almost no one buying.

I have to concur on alot of those points.

The introduction of 1.20 not only simulated that you can use average gear to succeed, but the extensive high drop rate of full groups is just too much.
Mass items being spawned into the Community, thus no balance and ppl wanting quick fg selling them for peanuts as there is an overflood of trades now.

Personally.
Use a "Scale to Ratio" from solo to full group for droprates. Random example:

Solo = 75% droprate
2people = 60% droprate
3people = 40% droprate
4people = 30% droprate
5people = 25% droprate

i really don't care about quests. I just like to mq! Actually i hate the quests except mnmn.

E: and the drops just help me get to mq faster :D

shouldnt solo be the base of the drop rates?
your list seems viable to me, but solo should give 100% since it takes ~3 times the mobs you had to go for once the arena was there.

i pure solo atm and the point of soloing atm is discussed in to many threads to revive it once more
still not really worth the time spent, but thats enough for now

hope the update will rebalance the game again, atm it's close to ok imo

Sold most of my stuff, but valid point there were no bid wars so I couldn't over price my stuff wtf is that all about :fume: lol

the drop rate is fine too, IMO. I'm actually fiding a couple decent things along the way.
...a bit of motivation to keep climbing.

I remember when I started back in season 9, drop rates was soooo horrible. People posting a decent find far and few between.
back then there was no way to make FG (don't include the old muting system) to buy items and upgrades.
I started with zero FG and limited help from a couple friends, it wasn't easy.

the problem is...is that there isn;t enough people playing LS right now.

this update will decide about my future career in this game. if it sux as much as the current does, i will be gone for good (prolly).

if its rly awesome and changes the issues most ppl have with the current version i might stay... and i am quite sure many ppl are thinking similar. at least like 70% of our guilds slashers thinks this way.
so there is a lot pressure on paul to not fail it (again).
