Ya sure in a perfect world where everyone in the group knows each other its not needed, but some groups dont even share a common language. Even when you are in a group of friends it would still be nice to have. What negative effect will it have on your gameplay?

As far as people complaining it makes things easier, it doesnt really effect the gameplay difficulty, its just a convenience for us. Thats like saying lets remove all hotkeys, its making the game way too easy.

why not just beable to move back and forth during fighting.. not like the ls fighters are statues!
