I have sent him a PM asking if he is withdrawing from the competition -- this was my first impression when I initially received the funds.

well.. would seem normal that if your donating.. your not really participating.. but .. then again.. i do donate to the duels . (never win) and participate some :)

I think you should make different contest than finding such item, because that would be very easy to photoshop.

this was only stage 2 in a "short" epic quest.. an item was called for to be found.. i understood the risks.. but the story would be even more lame without it :)
