That is priority one; not adversely affecting gameplay in an unintended way. If it does, then it's not a viable option. LS is a fast paced hack and slash RPG, and that is the intent.

This actually does sound like a great idea. I can see a lot of people not liking it, especially at first, but i appreciate that it really should not slow the game down in any way and mostly that items will not disappear when engaged is hit.
also to anyone else that is thinking of this, it could really increase the pace of a game because it will allow people to look at items when the runner is going through the maze or when the next battle has been engaged possible so the game isn't paused as you look at what dropped
Quick question
if items stick passed when engaged is hit for a time period, presumably they should be there until new monsters are faught. Will both sets of items be on the same item box then? and with that is there a way to add a window change size because as it stands new items after the first line get cut off and it is a complete hassle to have to scroll the window up or down.
Question 2
will the way that people can only pick up items when they are "doing something" in the game still hold?
