I think a mod should just close this thread because it's inaccurate and it's just confusing a lot of people.
Those charts are like random numbers to me.. no headings to tell us what they are :|
e2: just looked at the charts and I'm sure anyone could have put in random numbers increasing by 500 prof points and making a new chart recalculating everything... It's still pretty confusing of what you're trying to present.
Thats funny, I found it easily understood the first time I "read" his post and looked at the charts. I'm sorry your intellect is below average. These charts are both helpful and easy to understand. So in keeping with your logic of closing it because you are too stupid to understand, or too lazy to read the instructions. I think you should be locked and banned, simply because I find your posting annoying. With your logic of mod abuse, you'd get locked/banned now. Luckily things don't work that way.

How many CATACOMB climbs does it take to get to sword prof 20?

I wish I knew the answer to this...
How would we calculate it?
Section 1 = Without TDs
Section 2 = With 1 TD
Section 3 = With 2 TDs
etc
Normally we get like 1% xp (on bar) per 2 to 3 monsters killed (dependent if you have the final blow)
Now if we use this formula from Arena that I notice... maybe that could help equate it:
141 Attacks
060 Prof points gained
0.425% gained
Now... take 141 attacks for 60 Prof gain... is this the same in Catacombs... or is it less?
How many attacks does one does from their Rank# to MQ level in Catacombs?
___________
Then there are the EPs etc...
There is only one person that can answer
The answer is simple, write down your prof points for swords. Do a climb from 1-71 and write down your new number for prof points in swords. Calculate how many points you got for the climb. Find the chart that corresponds with that gain and what lvl prof you are at. Follow the directions for the charts.

I am an Electrical Engineer IRL. I can assure you that this remedial math is correct. I'm sorry that you cannot comprehend it--I've tried to dumb it down as much as possible.
Take note that I am simply using your proficiency points from last climb to calculate future values. This removes all other variables and makes it the best estimation to work from imo.
Either way, I did my original chart to satisfy my curiosity and make my life easier. I was just being nice posting this for the community and calculating out the rest. Hopefully my efforts will be appreciated by at least 1 other person on LS.
Good Day.
Thanks for dumbing it down. Sadly there are some pretty stupid people that would rather flame then ask for more clarification on how it works. I found it very easy to understand(and I'm an idiot) and helpful too. Thanks for posting it up.
