The sword dmg will be higher over time...
you'd have more of a chance for critical hits using the sword over time.

I'd still use a polearm though.

this. think of it as in damage per second. whichever does more, wins. the sword clearly does more DPS.

true, but it is twice as slow so it would need to have 2x as much average to beat the sword

Sword on solo and possibly polearm if im driving cata
but polearm can be only used on a feeder and paladin.. what makes it actually tied worst weapon in terms of usage

Average as in totally average, not in average per attack.
Since they have different attack speed you gotta multiply the sword damage *2 or you divide the damage of the polearm by 2, you gotta compare apples to apples here.

Terms of usage your correct. I am not talking about terms of usage thou.

I am asking what would you use right at that moment. 100 strength and 120dex.
What would you rather use.

In the end its a big matter of opinion. Want huge crits but slow speed? Use the polearm. Want lesser crits but faster overall exp gain? Use the sword. Since DEX does not affect weapon type, it is not really important what your STR/DEX is at.

on cata if i am driving pole from 30 35 then at 35 200ee wep would beat the dmg so much that it would not be that usefull xD
on solo sword cos heavy weps really dont work on arena
