i get a lot more drops now!!
and yes, i do attack all the time and dont leech or camp for the drop.
with the old system everyone was just drop-clicking, now i feel like i have a fair chance to get some drops if i click them fast.

this is a suggestion topic and discussing the suggestion, sorry, but that's not spam
regardless of how you define those people, they're all equally entitled to every drop in a catacomb game if they're in the party

as to who you should play with if your gear sucks - anyone you want to. if you cant get into games with good people, then play with people who arent good, but dont expect to get drops just because you click more often

*one more thing - i dont know if you have ever done this, but the people who have been playing softcore from day 1 and hardcore from day 1 started with nothing and had to make all of their climbs with shitty gear and we turned out alright - theres really no excuse to get bent out of shape over drops

pg2

They sold stuff for 1 fg worked they're way up.

Drops are for everyone and when unscrupulous players take advantage of the situation, there is a problem.
People have been bitching about drop clickers ever since the no-maze catacomb was introduced. But there was always one constant. The items dropped at the monsters. Not any place you desire.

The reason the drop box is bad is because it requires zero effort to follow the game of ladder slasher.  A person like myself who does 1,100 average damage at level 55 does not have a liberty to sit there attacking one monster every mob spawn as a guy who does 50 average damage does.  These people are taking advantage of the situation with a drop box placement and reaping the benefit of every users work. Additionally, there is NO ADVANTAGEOUS placement of the drop box for a proactive user except at the BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN.  Any other location blocks user statics, monsters, or vital information.  As a very proactive slasher, my drop box must remain on the bottom of the screen which also disadvantages me as an individual trying to be the most productive player in my group.

At least before, they had to "follow" the monsters to have a chance in hell to drop click. Now all you have to do is mindless click and suck everything up.
This is certainly a problem.

this is exactly what happens to me :(

yeah except back then there were things that are now unspawnable that could drop -_-

thats your rebuttal.... i played this game from the day it was created and i never found an unspawnable item
the fact that they existed doesnt mean they were available to everyone who played, nor does it make up for the increased difficulty in the earlier versions

I'm gunna do it Paparick style: Hell no!

Benefits of Catacombs: Exp is GFG

Benefits of Arena: You get the drops (and possibly better exp if really gfg gear)

Awesome system, very balanced.

omfg...
omfg...

I love it... just love it... camp all day... camp all night... just love it (well I don't run Cata much anyway since update)

1. You move your drop box in a location that is easily accessible to where the monsters are (basically in the middle)
2. No matter what monster is killed first... you get EQUAL chance to get drops
3. Use common sense and realise that some people are not camping, they know how to re-organise the drop box

I love this...

This right here explains about 25% of the problem I have with the "New and Improved" Ls.

I couldn't have explained it any better.

If you are distressed by a drop-box leecher//camper, i suggest the /kick function be exercised, and you make an effort to get players in your game that meet your playing standards.

If none can be found, then simply play arena until a team comes along.

You guys are becoming catacomb addicts, and are forgetting that this game used to be solo play for everyone until catacombs were introduced.

As to the drop-box, I slide mine off-screen so that it does not interfere with my play.

It is basically an auto-trash function for me as I no longer am annoyed by junk drops cluttering up my inventory. I love it!!

You actually think it's ok for these people to not even PLAY the game right and still camp for everything ?

Before they had to AT LEAST click......click......click.....Now they don't have to do shit.

I was in a cata with a kid who had 6 actions...Guess what....ALL SIX WERE DROPS......

Yea, your right. It's all fair. What am I bitching about.

Svar - Bashing people for bashing people isn't ?
