Why you are all stupid and str/dex has nothing to do with weapon type

JB's math thread 2, containing information about defense and weapon range

Some math, I made the picture of the equations wrong, but I have the correct formulas should anyone want them

u r always comparing swords and axes what about daggers and staffs and clubs?

anyway i like the new formula i will test this formula with some random numbers.

ofc. meant as start weapon compared to a sword or axe at low lvls

the conclusions I came to can always be scaled to those
mainly the reason I use the two is because they are at either end of the range of damage spectrum
but ya I actually had forgotten about including the other two haha
it's highly unlikely, but it may be the case that at certain times a dagger/club would be better than sword/axe because it might find the right mix of undercut/overkill but finding that out is something I would actually need ingame data for
that's why I just stuck with the final conclusion that the longer it takes you to kill a monster, the more range you want on a weapon, theres no way you can go wrong with that ;)
That's mainly the concern of thread 4 tho

this thread, the dex vs str one, is the one I most often see violated brutally by people with poor understanding of mechanics

u forgot another thing :p a axe which is doing ~ 100avg damage less then a sword is still sometimes better because the axe is about 10k fgs cheaper at same ee.

e.g. i have 5k fg to spend i can buy a sword with 180ee or an axe with 200ee i would prolly buy the axe or?

well didn´t calculated that yet ^^
