I'm down, would love some more players who enjoy the game and stick around, especially on hc. Updated sig with a link too.

Also agree with others as far as the entry barrier and how the game can be a bit daunting to a new player.

I honestly don't know if it's coincidental or random, but i'm seeing more people looking for gear. Keep up whatever you're doing.

As a noob that has started from scratch a few time doing solo climbs I can say that the game feels way too complicated. I have no idea what to do and where to start. Been looking at the guides for answers but it's like reading a big wall of junk text. Maybe a well made YouTube series with an introduction to what for example transmitting is? How to get into groups?

I'm not saying I want to be spoon fed all the information, it's just hard to get into. Not very noob friendly or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places ๐Ÿ˜‚

Cheers

a lot of words to follow... skip and ignore if you want but my thoughts being newer and never got too invested into ls as others have

Gotta buy the gear to get to level 63 soloing. Then buy decent gear to deathfarm.
So the advertising is actually to deathfarm, whoch can bring 50 fgs a day and is not really fun for a newcommer.

Why reason people dont play this game Imo:
- No public group: Only a few people play. Hard to get into a group.
- Ultimate gap difference: There is no way a newcommer can get nearly close to the most active users without investing years.
- Time investing: If youre lucky enough to get into a group, you must keep clicking 1h straight.
- Not mobile friendly: Such a small game should be 100% mobile friendly in 2023.
- Drops are terrible.

Even if the game would get 1000 players tomorow. 700 would stop because they wouldnt understand because they would be alone in the menu and dont know what to do click on catacomb and instadie.
250 people Would play few days and stop at level 20-30 because they would still be using Level 10 white items.
50 would make it to higher levels but stop due to the game being boring and being alone in a group with no gear.
Imo only 10-25 people would get to MQ and keep playing
agreed

I'd love to find a way to get the game more active. All that means is more items on the mp for all of us
I've been trying to find a way to help new players or get the game some wind in its sails for some time now.
Lmk what you were thinking, I'd love to help
I truly think a starter gear collective thread and something pushing it into people's noses would help big time. We gotta make it more inviting but also need it to actually be seen as a game lol

the biggest hurdle for new players is getting into the game and or enjoying it. yes new players can buy low items from mp and grind themselves to 50+ and eventually mq and earn 20-100fg a day death farming but most won't find it too fun being so repetitive and it takes them so much longer than established players that most give up and get bored before they can start making a profit. For fun, new players are likely not included in discords and are basically by themselves when climbing even in group climbs. LS is very different when by self or silent vs in group, able to talk and hear others, and interact with others, new players don't know others and can be shy or scared of being a burden or annoying asking questions.

blocks for new players...
1. It is almost impossible for new players to join group climbs (groups want speed, and not to have to carry complete newb with 0 to no gear. As a new player i was or saw someone frequently booted from groups because didnt have an mq armor or weapon to helped the group much
2. ls isn't as newb friendly as other games where 1 can start and play through and succeed no mater what they do. people won't want to read the guides and topics that explain everything. they will just start and play through to find it hard and annoying how slow it is and anti social getting booted from groups b/c no gear or not in guild.
3. since drop rates are bad, most new players will leave discouraged and feel they got false advertising b/c they didn't find any good or a great item. Yes they can find mutes to sell pretty easy and repeatedly, but how likely are they to find anything over 100ee or 30+ stats if they are using cheap items from the mp (90-110ee items, no ml, etc). how many hours do you think you spent playing with better gear than new players will likely ever have before you found your first great item?
4. new players won't want to invest fg and grind for hours with little to no guarantee of making a profit. They will see prices compared to the drops they are finding and say screw it. They most likely won't pay and use vault not understanding how much easier and faster it makes things. They won't understand prices and will get ripped off and discouraged from continuing, and they will get frustrated at how their items aren't selling fast from mp when buyers are taking breaks or events change.

things i think that would help new players the most...
1. new players getting invited to join groups and carried (saves them the time of lvling so slowly by themselves) and letting them decide to go for mq, or stay high lvl and try death farming
2. Cheap items they can use being readily available on mp (this means established players picking up the low 40-70ee items and tossing them on mp or on a mule for new players to be bale to get rather than skipping them b/c considered waste of mp space/time). possibly having a special mp section of recycled/donated items that don't take a selling spot and are available for others to buy for free (maybe as we get 25 selling spots below 20fg, give 25 freebie/donation spots as well to help encourage more of the low items being picked up and donated to people who might need them instead of being left and never picked up b/c isn't worth effort to make space and sell for established players)
3. Have some of the guides/topics people have made with starting out info more visible and easier to access. A lot of great info has been neatly typed up and presented over the years but often buried or forgotten. Old school players seem to always have the links and posting them to help people when needed, but for a complete new person can be hard to find/figure out.
4. Make vaults free for a trial period... let people see if they would like the game b4 making them commit and spend fg b4 getting to try it
5. LS adding a group chat feature or something that lets everyone in a group hear/mute/talk to each other and not have to invite/join certain discords to be able to hear and talk to others that you may or may not see again. would be more engaging for new players, and would mean leaders wouldn't have to invite randos into the guild discords etc.

I donโ€™t think that it is very complicated to get started, or understand the basics.
As for me, i even started with 0fg.

Just read bobs barb/fighter beginner guide and followed it.
Sold all mutes/whites i could, grabbed first items off mp, and then started looking around in trading section.

Iโ€™m not death farming, and i think in avg if u sell mutes/whites, u can make around 200fg per climb? Can be easily more if you find 55 whites, or you might even be lucky and get a gg drop that sells for shitloads ( which up to now has not happened to me).

In any case, it should take a few climbs only until you have a well functioning set from 0 to mq.

I just play occasionally from cellphone, but i enjoy it. And i think that it could be the same for other new players.
Growth of the community would definitely be a good thing ๐Ÿ‘

Ill tey to make this simple:

If you are looking for a fun game to explore new areas, new monsters, fight with lots of new friends, THEN THIS IS NOT THE GAME FOR YOU!!

This game is a grind and very repetetive. But if youre lucky and know where to hunt, you can make very good fg here. IT TAKES TIME. If you are impatient, this is not the game for you
