Can you provide a valid reason for needing 16 characters? Or even 8 for that matter?
I could see needing a few, maybe, for:
Group climbing
Solo climbing
Skilling

I sure hope your reason isn't for mules because there is a vault specifically for this purpose.

My opinion may be biased as I do have above the cap, although some of these are unused.


I voted no. It is the game designers choice on how they want to implement the game. It your choice on whether you want to play it. For a successful game, these 2 concepts should coincide.

Paul wanted 8-8 because he wanted to force more players to use vaults since that means more money for him. There, you have it: greed. So this 8-8 is a deadly sin.

I find good items all the time, it might not something I can use but 5-20k items drop very often based on sc prices at least.

I play every Hardcore character I have left (2 died already). Why, because I wanted all my characters to be in the top 20 Prof Ranking Tables for each heavy weapon and also show off that I am from Kirby and have their Guild published behind the scenes.

Oh... as for the muling part, I am a hoarder, and damn, I am full of crap & decent items and stocking up on White items and still have a 125 Vault capacity that diminishes my FG funds every damn month by 100-200 ... so even with a Vault and 14 characters, I am losing Forum gold on NOTHING.

Having 2 extra Hardcore characters only means that I will play them, use them to hold items and gain profs to get on the Ranking tables.

Do you have a problem with this answer? Then your post is invalid and assumptive.

Not going to argue with you on this one.

Well, I want to preface this with: To each their own. It is not my intention to force anyone to do anything that they do not want to do.

That said, yes, I do have a couple of issues with your response.
First, you say your goal is to have all of your characters in the top 20 Prof Ranking Tables. So, in reality, the number of characters you have is prohibitive. If you had less characters your goal would be much more achievable.
And second, your desire to hoard useless items is not the best practice, and is costing you your precious FG funds. You sound quite upset about the fact that you must pay to use the vault.

No worries how you feel about my post. I am just stating my opinion. Kindly disregard, if you so desire.

I am waiting on the double digit one to die next since the other 2 deaths had multiple double digits, but all records deleted to make new characters.

Remember this ONE fact.... the Site information about: "MAXIMUM OF 16 CHARACTERS" playing ladder slasher was MANIPULATED to 8 maximum per core AFTER the Beta Test that DID NOT inform any of us players (that were current) of the change itself ... only when one or 2 players deleted one of their characters and QUESTIONED this publicly, and people tested it out ... there was NO update posting this information... THEY only added it later when they realized they had made the change(s) to 8 max per core.

Thus keeping to the Site information of "Maximum of 16 Characters..." they tweaked it to 8 per core.

Oh... I have 14 HC characters left, and I only play Hardcore, and I should have a MAXIMUM of 16 HARDCORE characters... not 8.
