I've held out on posting something like this for a few weeks to have a better sample size, and give every facet of the game an opportunity. Nothing has worked. We've explored, quest farmed, high maps, monster difficulty maps, hundreds and HUNDREDS of wellables. Rarely do items even spawn with higher than tier 1 stats.

The game is broken right now.

got this yesterday from 4x EP at I think around level 40

Mythical mithril chain mail
Level Req: 25
Physical Defense: 27 to 68
Magical Defense: 0 to 16

+23 Intelligence
+256 Max Life
+1 to 8 Life per Kill
+1% Damage Return
+1% Armor Pierce

Arcane elvan robe

... nothing to boast about tho..

I agree with both statements here.

There is a serious lack of REAL end game items dropping, while there are plenty of low tier items dropping.

I think the most EE I've seen on an item was about 80 @ lvl 35. It's demoralizing. While you COULD MQ with something like that, it is not fun nor efficient. I feel like there needs to be a swing in the way items drop. The HC economy has been up and running since 2008 and has never stabilized. It's terrible.

I've found little things but nothing over 90 ee, enough to pay vaults and so. And didn't see a single 100ee item this season (I haven't climbed as much as some of you though)

So far this season I've done 12 climbs on my main and a few more on other chars, and found one item over 100 ee and a few others close (98ee, 90ee, etc)

Now none of the things I found are usable for end game, but it's something. I've found a bunch of new player gear that most would shrine or glyph, but I list it because I know there is a lack of sub 5 fg starter items just to get you climbing.


If you look at both hc topics and the sc topic post update, stuff is dropping, even end game gears, just not super frequent.

I agree a balance could help, but I disagree with the statement that nothing is dropping.

HC never had a favorable update and when muting was changed is right about when HC came out..

Everything has been toned down like ambush and shamans to the point where they aren't lucrative to farm... It was still a godsend getting something good out of them before they were nerfed and that was with farming them 3-4+ times a climb.

Right now quests are either too easy or just to hard while the only rewards you can count on is the stats they give you. Their is a empty void concerning end game. The time it takes to do MM is baffling as well as the very little reward for it. You can whistle 3door classes in a group and earn around the same amount of gps in similar time it would take to complete the quest.

The mechanics that did drop items at one point like TDS , ambush, monster difficulty maps or just monster difficulty in general , and other stuff has been nerfed and collectively it takes its toll especially on a core like HC which never had the pleasure of free range of muting.

tl;dr . HC has always gotten the short end of the stick, quests aren't lucrative as they once were, we need more options in end game content.

AH I can only imagine the amount of great items made in that time span then. I thought it was only around for mere months when the core was launched. I started playing shortly after cole reset. Anyhow there has only been a small handful of great items spawned this season and that seemed to stop sometime in November....
Idk i'd like to just try to spawn some items if I could just login this damn game.

heh I think I might have the item ur talking about if u muted it on sc. this one was first sold in april 2009 so its pretty old and best in game.
