I think this round i did something similar to the below:
1. Roll 95% of your essences on items you prefer (in my case was daggers and axes)
2. Start running out of the preferred bases by the time you have burnt like 300/340 essences (still you dont wanna prolong the wait for the godly item so you move to step 3)
3. Introduce sub-par bases (i.e. Wild heal)
4. Have an awesome roll on a bad base item
