Fishing is for getting fish.
Cooking is for doubling the fish's life/mana.
Transmuting is for getting essences and rerolling items' stats.
Glyphing is for turning items into glyphs.
Suffusencing is for boosting fish's life/mana and glyphs' durations.
These skills are NOT for leveling up, per se. Getting xp from doing these skills are just a bonus.
What possible harm could it cause? Maybe none, but that's not the point. I am simply stating the FACT that these skills are not for leveling up.
As for why I don't want it, well... the downside "could" be that there'd be far fewer groups. It may frustrate many players who don't want to skill but just find a group, but can't find any because everyone else is skilling now. That is a "slim" possibility. Whether that happens or not doesn't change the fact that I stated above.
