but sc.. you only have 2 hc toons, and havent been on them in a few days now. now if that were HC... id feel bad.. but since its sc.. at least on sc you dont loose your gear, yes you loose some prof.. but you can at least gain that back..

i also just got hit with the first 1006 that ive had in a few days maybe 3 min before this post @ 4:45...

lets get the facts straight: it's persisting which is the issue, doesn't matter what core it's happening on

True, as is that there should be a different server for each core to reduce downloading instances as mentioned previously.

I can say I haven't had many 1006's for this week compared to others, note, this is based on the fact I have NOT closed (exited) Ladder Slasher 24/7 unless I have a "Memory" issue and my windows want me to update Chrome because of the extension of keeping windows open.

ive gone as far as unplugging my router for a day for a complete cool down and that didnt help.. unfortunately it is on the server end of it where your ISP would connect to it. most ISP's use vpn's now, which throttle back the actual throughput speed at which you COULD have a co0nnection at. with this slower connection through the 1006 port, it can periodically throw an error and due to the error state, disconnect you from the server in an attempt to rebuild the connection.. ( this is coming from mass research ive done over the past month, when ive had time to delve deeper into it.)

ask your isp if they use a vpn, if they do, you shouldnt use one as well ( if you are)?

wifi connected or hard wire?

settings on internet connection ( assuming on pc)?

to check press windows key+R; type in ncpa.cpl and hit enter..

select and right click the apropriate adapter and click properties, click the configure button, and then move to advanced tab..

settings should be as follows to help speed up your connection.. (i made this years ago, and since, there are a few more i still need to get back to to add to this list, but are fine as is with no changes to the ones not listed)

How to increase Internet Connection

I can not help you with your 1006 connection issue or any others, however over the last 76 hours keeping my LS game open, I have only had a maximum of 5 instances of a 1006 ... which for myself luckily happens when I am asleep and not playing while being online.

Basically... I don't have issues with 1006's.

Hope others in the same Timeframe can come up with an answer or more.

as i timed out to edit my above post...

you can also run a "trace route" to determine where your bottleneck is...it should give a listing of the ping latency for each node it has to route through at which point you can determine where your speed is slowing down.

press windows key+R, type tracert, a space, www.d2jsp.org

I would be careful with using VPN on d2jsp.

Agreed VPN is risky.
Those that have been used by scammers in the past (mainly the public free ones) all have their IP addressed logged and will get you banned.
