There is a specific one I have in mind... It only lasted like 8 hours or something, but while it was in effect it was GLORIOUS.

I don't actually remember the event properties, but I do remember Paul saying that due to the way it was implemented, the monster difficulty ended up being ~225% or so (instead of I want to say ~40% as was stated?)

That event was the only time I saw Alex die (although it was on a mule)

It was Pick that complained about Monster difficulty and made a thread... hey I could be wrong... but then, only those that know will prove it.

Who cares who complained about it though really? There were like 6 events in a month with double spawned MD and sc was suffering just as bad as hc because literally nobody wanted to play. Every climb was taking waaaay longer and was VERY dangerous.

The mod never needed to be fully removed, he just needed to make sure it couldn’t double spawn pushing a max of 100% md at you. 10-20% was amazing for drop boosts and to make the game a little challenging. 50-100% was pointless and made the game unplayable unless everyone was in BIG gear and even then it wasn’t fun.

Found the part of the Events thread where we had the ~225% increased monster difficulty event. It was called "No Pain No Gain" and it was actually written as +10% lol!

This. People didn't complain because it was harder. We complained because the %s were high and it was every damn event for what seemed like 2 months or more.

I agree, we want it back, but don't exceed 20%
