do you click the buttons with your mouse? or use 1 2 3 4 5 on your keyboard?

that is the new placement for it with the new client, I don't see why it would be an issue.

[edit] Ctrl - F5 and it should be moved back to a max-width location similar to before. Won't be exactly the same, but it does have a defined boundary now.

The various windows are a mess

You still have to place them where they serve your purpose best, but they seem re-sized and awkward
