and the odds to get a lvl 55 160+ee lighting are alot higher then a 160+ee axe


the struggle is around lvl 1 -30 or so where you have mana problems ( my persoanl struggle is around lvl 20-25 because my charm doesnt have mana on it, rest is a piece of cake in a good group ) but that said on off casting a slacker rly slows down the climb since you run out of mana quite often

sounds like the best plan to me



there's way more use for a decent melee HH (possibly tank HH) than for a HH caster with medicore gear, cause as a not perfectly geared caster HH you'll struggle bigtime and will pretty much be useless for the team until like level 45

comparing with people gathering their off-casting gear since years is not really a good idea, actually the only 2 casting HH i have seen on softcore that did more dmg than our melee HHs are Chrispy and Meridius and gear like that is even more unlikely to get than a good melee set

Hard no.

Simply put... you do NOT need an entire set of Off Casting gear... you only need those items from level 45 - 55 (MQ Items)

You can just Melee up from level 1-45 or maybe 55 while stating for Casting (Int) for mana pool and use the best EE Light / Wind you have avail... also, remember your casting abilities you will use, there is nothing wrong in a group to still have Multi Strike + Multi Cast since you will be able to do both really effectively and maybe use another cast or melee ability.

You only need to really invest in the MQ gear, not the gear that you are going to climb up with since your starting stats are already for melee.

Headhunter cannot use wind charms and going a melee and caster ability is beyond stupid as it is not effective at all

Wind?? What game are you playing?? HH cannot use wind.
