Make them incredibly rare to find imo, not as high a drop rate as comfreys. I don't know, tier XIV white items are 100fg each and each person gets what, 1-4 a climb? They're only useful for what they could be. Just like essences.

I understand that every one wants essences and everyone wants to use them to gamble with and hope to find a good item.
But the reason the update was also great is because it made every item that dropped in the game more valuable.
Transmuters now need more items than ever to break down to essences in order to increase rank. And gamblers are willing to spend more fg on specific items to roll (think mystical+ daggers/axes/lightnings/wild heals)

If you add essences into the drop pool, you're walking a fine line between not only destroying the skill, but destroying the value of essences, and also the value of marketable junk drops

Voted hell no, it takes a fuck ton of effort and time to get muting prof high to just give out essences for free especially 1-3 per climb that’s insane

Ive been collecting comfreys for YEARS. I ripped about 600 of them on my HH when I died but even without those I still have 1700 of them. Thats YEARS. Ive literally been collecting them since they first got introduced into the game. I even bought plenty of 1fg ones off the market to get suffed my my guild's skillers. Thats such a drop in the bucket when you consider Ive done probably 800hc climbs.

Droppable ess would not hurt the market in any way if dropping at comfrey or even Heavy wep drop rates. Especially when you consider how many would likely be magic t1

I mean, I can get 200 per climb. They'd all be tier 1s I'd transmute though. :lol:

1-3 randomized tier essence drops per climb would pale in comparison to what the muters could still do. I'm just having a friendly debate, don't take anything to heart here people :)

Maybe we should remove comfreys completely and only have fish and let the fish market increase?

But yeah lets touch the re-vamped way essences work a week after the update - so literally every one can have them and make them worthless? Makes no sense

Agreed, but totems are just randomized glyphs, comfreys are just fish in essence, and potions aren't really that amazing given their bonuses poof after MQ/reroll


I am talking about Totems, that give better rewards than Potions. Maybe you don't remember them because they drop so rarely in comparison to potions.

So, if you add in another "Drop Item" (i.e. essence) to the "Drop Rate" table, it MAY (optimum wording) REDUCE the drop rate of other items that we are after. Example, if you put an essence in the same Drop % as a Heavy Weapon, Comfrey or Rod, that means it would be harder to get any one of those 3 items, where the ratio would be like 1/4 instead of 1/3 chance to get something better than an Essence.

Simply put. If a Rod / Heavy Weapon & Comfrey had a 10% chance of dropping currently, that means it would be a 1/3 chance for each item if 10% roll was made, adding in an essence in that same 10% chance, would become a 1/4 chance ... and personally to me, that is fucking up my chances even more in finding a Heavy Weapon, not including one with decent mods on it.

Why would you transmute the t1 ess? Lol. Not taking anything to heart, I just think the idea is insanely bad lol
