Don't like any of them to be honest. Anyway, this one needs another rule if I read it correctly:

5) Team to reach the highest character level. Teams of 3 or 5 race with 24 hours to reach the highest level possible. Highest level reached by group wins prize.
... Rule #1 no more than 3 people from same guild per group [personally don't understand why this would be imposed]
... Rule #2 once a party member dies, the run is over and you record your final levels.

Note: I am thinking that #5 means highest levels they can obtain in 24 hours of playing the game.

That's why having competitions gives you something else to look forward to.

The problem is a select few people who ruin it for the majority. This thread is absolutely a positive thing and people come in here posting negativity and that they didn't like any of the suggestions/spam.

These people would be getting opportunities for more fun and forum gold and they're still toxic no matter what. If a thread is made in this forums, jackasses are going to come in and say "+1 more than cartrack" or "Where's the Hell no option?".

It's old we get it haha hehe. We've all seen it 100 times.

I completely understand why we haven't gotten anything posted out of njaguar.
Now if anyone has any real ideas please post them

Those are some good ideas but hard to verify and much too restrictive. Sure people will say you can stream it but not everyone can stream. I'd definitely like to see more individual types of things than groups.

Maps are slower than explore without xp mods.

The game mechanics [whistling] now ruined my favorite competition... 3 Main Prizes of Gear & Forum gold for the 1st 3 people that get 20 Master Quests (not Guild Points) and also bonus prizes still left over for any others that completed the 20 Master Quests.

On top of that, all the items and forum gold prizes were donated by the community, and we still have to do this again to build up what? Anyway, instead of gripes, this is what my real thoughts of the competitions are about:

Here are a few:

1) Fastest ladder slasher driver (on an explored map from point a to b) = Can not be proven properly as the map may have more rooms (not the mod) spawning compared to the same tier as another map.
2) Hide and seek (A very small s/s would be taken of something and 1 guess could be submitted per hour) = Not suitable, some people have graphic software that can increase the image size and extrapolate the pixels to get a better image and idea of what it is.
3) Specific pattern of LS mobs (2 different but specific mobs would be required to be found in catacombs. A s/s would be necessary) = Would work, does this mean that they can NOT find them while exploring a map? If so, then you have to ensure that the monsters chosen can not be found on one map, this would ensure catacomb run only.
4) Proficiency race to 1. (secondary character ... fastest char to rank 1 spears or something like that) = Better to just make this "First person to get 1000 proficiency points" Post Link to character with an SS, take an SS of the time you start verifying that your Prof table is included in same SS and then an SS of the time and Prof Table and link to character when gaining the 1000 prof points. ... NOTE: I would remove all casting proficiency points from this competition, especially Healing because they obtain prof points faster than melee.
5) Team to reach the highest character level. Teams of 3 or 5 race with 24 hours to reach the highest level possible. Highest level reached by group wins prize. (rule #1 no more than 3 people from same guild per group) = Said my 2 cents worth previously
6) 1st climb as a group with no heals = Limits this to people with top notch EE gear, not good if you want competitions to be fair.
7) Find 2 or 3 specific ee items (e.g. 4, 15, and 19% ee items must be found) = Tier specific? Type specific? be more specific. Idea has merit, just need to be more specific.

So you're only look at the limitations. I agree with you on #4. Healing would have to be eliminated. Instead of restricting and saying this won't work that won't work, think about what would work.

For example, #1 would work perfectly. All you need is a specific map, let's say lvl 25. You explore the majority of it before the competition. Then the judge(s) bring people in one at a time. The goal is to go from one corner to the other. This would be the same for every single person. Everyone with fast fingers would have a chance and the trajectory would be timed by the judge(s).

Hide and seek could potentially work depending on what exactly we're looking for.

The competitions I pointed out that weren't really feasible, were to point out facts... and that would be the following;

# 1 can NOT work for everyone... I am sure you are aware of packet transfer speed and the numbers of portals they go through to/from receiver & recipient? [Location of Player to Server makes a difference]. Also, this means anyone that does NOT have upload/download 100 mbps connection are at a disadvantage.

# 2 COULD potentially work, that wasn't my point. My point was that some people can cheat with graphic software to win the prize.

# 6 No joke, people with gear reap the rewards... especially when they can just whistle and level up before they need to be healed in Softcore.

As for the rest... which is 4 out of 7, I asked questions, they were not "wouldn't work"
