With the wrong group of people going from 53 to 71 takes WAY LONGER than that.

Why not bring back the arena and remove catacombs entirely?

I dont mind soloing myself, but it's a bad suggestion

We normally dont have ppl this lucky every tho
Sure iLegit did his reset in like 63-68 climbs or whatever it was. But he was struggling and it still took many months (he did most of his solo)

So what, 1 month in and few ppl has been superlucky, the chance of passing alchy is still 720 and never that I know of the first alchy for any season has been the person to reset, so she's doomed afaik

Just barely one month into the current session, and an Alchemist appears.

My suggestion is simply intended to lengthen the session playing time,
and maybe slow down the appearance of higher classes

So - here it is:

In order to qualify for participation in a group catacomb game,
the character must have completed at least ONE SOLO CLIMB to 71



Climb one char and maybe you will reset

I don’t like it. Maybe we can do something else that’s more fair to people... how about this:

Add one more optional class after Alchemist. When you pass as Alchemist you are given a choice. You may reset the ladder OR you can unlock one additional class for the same GP gain that has 100 if each base stat and can wear all armor and weapon types. All skills are blue, and this character is the same # of keys as alchemist. Passing again results in 1000 GP (2000 HC) and reset of the ladder with special distinction of “has reset the xxxxcore ladder as a “whatever this class is called.” Of course this is quite hard to do...
since you’d have to essentially reset the ladder twice but for people crazy enough... they might gamble on doing this instead of a normal reset, resulting in a longer season.

I mean... I’m also good with lvl 81 and lvl 60 gear happening but... something tells me that a lot of people will rage at something like that lol

I actually kinda like the sound of this idea, give or take a few details. 1000GP sounds like way too much lol

Let's be honest. What's going on here is Partyplanner reset in 3 months and a few days last season with very few people playing.
This season mount olympus has an alchemist already and is threatening a reset again very soon. The problem is the amount of climbs 3 people are able to do constantly every single day. Some call it luck but it happens every season.

Another idea would be to give a higher objective like mirror maze more purpose. Maybe make group climbs 20% slower all around. If you complete mirror maze then remove the penalty and give another 20% bonus speed. This would incentivize people to do mirror mazes. If they don't they'll take another 10-15 minutes to do a whistle climb.

already doing the solo thing and its sucks but nobody else is playing so not really an option. if you intend to get rid of the last 100 people who do play this is a great idea
