I had to search many inactive players accounts to make my sets.

Takes along time

I looked for a year and a half to get a 55 charm I needed

I've posted hundreds of posts with lists of items and the people "buying" are too lazy to look through the list.

Items are not selling because new players don't want to invest forum gold into the game. It's expensive.

Items are not selling because noobs come and play 2 days and quit.

Items are not selling because people can just borrow items from their friends rather than buy their own items.

Items are not selling because new players who could buy the items normally don't have forum gold.

It's mostly the game's fault for being so expensive and limited.

I agree with this. Sellers have as much issue finding buyers, as buyers have finding sellers. It's just a dead market on a dead game.

Neither the market nor the game are dead. There are still people playing regularly. The game is dead when nobody is playing anymore. If people cant sell their stuff they simply have to be patient or lower the prices. If other people cant find stuff at their expectations, they simply have to be patient or offer more.
If people want to find nice items they have to work for it and search for it.. some people expect all the nice deals coming to them for no effort.

Add community’s fault to that. There is a new player and look how he is treated. You want players, but you guys dont help it. Njag made the game worse, people are killing it because #Ego

You and I clearly have different definitions of a dead game. Supply is dreadfully lacking for decent items, and demand is dreadfully lacking for low-to-mid-tier items.

New players have no reliable source of income of any level that would ever reasonably afford a decent gear set. As many have said, you have to pump FG from other sources in order to fund play in LS. This is not how a functional economy works.

I mean, I still play it. I'm not saying anything personal about those who do continue to play it. But, it's a dead game.

This is how any game works of this type. They must be funded from other games. This games drop rate is designed for lots of players. The game don't have that anymore so most of the good gear is old gear and the players that still play have allready traded for it. Only way to get it from their hands is to over pay for it or grind the item stat quality events and hunt for eps and hopfully you get lucky and hit the right drop

Edit: look at the other games forum and all those text based games. It's all cross trading between all the games to beef up one of your accounts on one of the games.

I'd say this is a fair test of how dead a game is. The design intent cannot be supported becasue the community is too small.

People always say WoW is dead, so let's use that as an example. If the WoW community was so small that only 1 or 2 guilds ever completed mythic raids during the tier, and there were so few raid groups that most players had a hard time finding a group to raid with at any give time, then calling the game dead may hold some water.

Nobody ever said that LS has to work on its own ;)
For me it is a long term grind that needs some assist from other games like d2 or poe from time to time which is nice for me as i cant play ls 365 days of the year.

Sure, of course. It doesn't have to be anything, in particular. It doesn't have to be alive.
