it is right that max 10 hits are applied to profs per wave. you will however most likely have to do quite some more than 10 per wave (~more like 50 hits on normal monsters and 20 hits on eps until you have hit those 10 hits that counted to your profs) to reach the max prof gain

As alex stated it's 10 prof max; which will take several more hits than 10.

Applied to prof gain... meaning no matter how many times you hit the mod only 10 of the hits will be applied to prof...

but it's not the first 10 hits, it takes several hits to get 10 prof which is why it's misleading.

If you want to maximize prof gain per mob hitting it 30 times will yield more than hitting it 10.

His statement says nothing about the TOTAL number of hits it takes.. How can you not grasp that you assuming there is a piece of information there that isn't...
He said that only 10 hits register to your prof gain and nothing else. Yanno what they say assuming only makes an ass of yourself.
