Weapons which are the same tier and same EE will average about the same. Which is why I said before that the only difference is which class can use them. I'd recommend just worrying about one class for now and not thinking about what happens when you hit samurai (because they have to use either swords or daggers and both of those are rather expensive)

EE degrades by roughly 20% per tier (not 100% accurate because it varies, more like 18 - 22% but 20 is a good place to start), so a level 30 with 100ee is actually about equal to a plain (no ee) level 55 so the 55 would be better. If you look in the stickied guides there should be an EE comparison chart, and also an EE calculator somewhere
