agreed, im not sure makeing the game more complicated is the best way to bring new players.

Solo is only a viable option if you have you can waste 7 hours per climb instead of 2 :)

I would say brg arena back but for HC only, SC isnt a problem

Lol this dosne't make sense.

If he brought back Arena on Hc everyone would play only HC which would force him to remove arena from Hc and give it back to SC which would make everyone play SC again and infinite circle.

If arena replaced solo cata'ing, I would quit HC and go back to SC and cata.

a better option would be
- to make monster spawns on ur lvl only and not from -1 to +1 of ur lvl.
- make prof gain for monsters of urlvl AND HIGHER, so tds are of any value for soloing
- adjust the monsters life to the amount of players -> make groups slower. 2 hours/climb is just too fast!
- bring something that everyone wants to trade forth and back... we had fish/comfs - bring something that lifts their value again OR make wellables sellable OR both!
--> this will result in newcomers earning fg and progressing faster than now
- pop up descriptions direktly in the game which would make the game selfexplanatory
- attracting graphics. currently the graphics are just simple and boring... some landscape and lovely details would help
- allow more interaction between guilds
- put sc on another server than jsp-forums (like hc) to avoid it getting affected by ddos attacks against jsp

ps: forgot to mention: rebalance off class casting to a valid option of playing

If arena was brought back on hc first and then on sc, it's not true that everyone would play sc "again". It's hc which actually misses arena more than sc. It would be just like it was before, some ppl here, some ppl there, more proficiencies, more fun. I'd play arena when there were not so many ppl to group with, but whenever someone was ready for 1-71 I'd play catas ofc.

won't comment others (love that one regarding server, though), but this one i bolded would definitely decrease amount of players
ppl play together and especially on hc: they want only 1-71
if someone has no time for a full climb ppl don't wanna play with such a person, that'd definitely ruin hc

Hey, i used to play ladder slasher, till i have account issues, and not been online in months, because
i cant get my password back, and refusing to send my driving lisence/copy of my passport to someone i dont even know.

I generally look at jsp, see whats happeneing with the ladder and see how my guild are doing. good work quoc ;)

back on topic:

izParagonzi i love your idea, ive thought of a few ways that this could work alongside the current game, and bring new people
into the game, and make the game a challange again
its quite simple.

make all items and all prof's( except for skill prof i will get to this later ) reset when the ladder resets.

hold your horses in slating this idea allready, you dont have to play it, as it would run alongside the other game, but
to encourage people to switch, maybe you could doulbe the guild points, ( yes 2 points for fails ) as at the start of the game
it would be so hard to get to 71. the old game would need to be altered to force people to play the new improved version,
this could be done by removing guild points for fails on the other ladder, but maybe increasing the pass points a little.
but think about how much the first 150ee lvl 55 dagger would be worth, or the first 50 int robe

it would be great. you will be now thinking i dont want to invest in fg which is going be deleted, well most people here have
played d2, and thats basically the same concept. the items would do like they do on d2 atm, transfer to the other ladder as soon
as the ladder is resets

this would give the chance for people to make large amounts of fg at the start of the ladder, and build set ups "like d2"

Transmuting
the reaons not to reset skills, as it would give massive rewards to people who put in the time, it would take a few ladders but
think about the people who could mute lvl 25,35,45 and eventually 55 items on a brand new reset they would be worth a lot.

Fishing
fishing is a pointless skill in the current game from what i here, as u can now shrine during runs, but how about in the new game
you go down tunnels, where you cant escape, you either battle your way through the tunnel, or you die, these could vary in length
then with this added to the game, it would make it essential you carried large amounts of fish with you at all times.

Side quests
im thinking there could be a few side quests in the game

like for example,
lvl 50 - Find the Gaurds to pinky, you have say a 5% chance to find this in the maze, the highest level of the party must be level 50 to activate this quest, or something like that

So this could be if you stumble across pinky and his gaurds, could have to battle 5 waves of monsters, then super hard ep,
basically the only way to defeat is, with lots of fish, glyps, and healing and full out hard hitting
but as a reward, you can find a unique items ( 1 per member of the group ) ( or u could make this only possible guild only ) so then 1 item would drop for the guild
these items could have gozu stats, i mean like it would have if it was a weapon it would be lvl 55, have over 180 ee, at least 60 stats, and some other stuff maybe.
and also killing the guards and the uber boss, at the end would transfer you straight to the master quest. however if you ail to kill him, ( as you have the choice to fight him in the first place )
i.e. the gaurd awaits you do u want to fight, or run away the choice is yours. if you fail to defeat him, "either you are rerolled to lvl 1, or get an extra door when u get to 71"

this cant be attempted if there is a Weaponist in the group lvl 75 Prof king:
THe lowest memeber of the party has to be 75 ( could set in it, if the lowest member of the part dies at 75 the quest in void, and your forced to do the master quest, to stop people dying on puropse )this is a different one, find the prof king and his guards at lvl 75, ( could maybe have to of completeted a number of the other bosses on route ) and basically if you kill this boss, it gives 5 prof points to prof of your choice ( excluding skills )

Classes

i would change morlock or something, so it could only use heavy weapons to force people to buy them
also for Shaolin Monk make it only able to ware robes, as by your current set up, robes would be pointless
and be worthless as no unlocked class is forced to ware them.


well thats my ideas over with hope some of them could be introduced, i.e the side quests, and the fishing section.
