originally 1.20 was going to be a humongous patch , but njag found a way to break it down into a few smaller patches.

i'll see if i can find the post.

Hello everyone! Yes, I've still been working on Ladder Slasher, and the next update will be a huge update. I've given out a few basic teasers about the scale of this update, but it's going to be the biggest update LS has ever received. I'm finally taking some large strides towards where the game will be in the future. These steps unfortunately cannot really be broken down into smaller chunks, so I'm left with a monster of an update in order to take that step. It'll be well worth it. I have no ETA on a release, but I am shooting for a target release of before the end of the year. Ideally it will be much sooner, but we'll see how things progress. I still have a lot to do, mountains to climb, etc. :)

So, without further ado, here's a small teaser (and I mean incredibly small piece of the next update) of what's in the works. Introducing....

Because in order to go from point A to B and have a playable (and fun game) along the way, one must take it in steps, and sometimes take slight detours to get there. If I was working only on LS, and had nothing else to do, and had a team of developers working with me, this would not be an issue.

Things will continue to come in steps, and there will be detours along the way. I don't anticipate this game being where I fully envision it being for many many years to come, but it will continually change and progress towards that vision. This particular update is a huge step in that direction, considerably larger than the update from turn based to graphical real time (as I've hinted at to various people who have already posted as much in previous topics.)

Now please kindly remove yourself from my topic. You clearly have nothing to contribute.

Hopefully the remainder of the update will address our many concerns, chief among which is the inexplicable arrival of ASE errors with 1.20

It's really not that bad though. =/

I think the drop level is a little high, and that solo experience needs a pretty serious boost.
That'd restore order to the force so far as I see it. :)

Ofc, I don't know what other changes will come along that may very well alter the way I view those things.

This sort of thing as well. I'd rather the release be delayed in favor of having more bugs worked out ahead of time (as much as possible anyway).

The drop rate is fine now. Now newbs can play without spending 150 fg on 25 strength. Instead the rare items are now 25str/25dex e.g. and that would now be 150 or more . (more)

just easier to play now for newbs and a little more interesting imo. Still needs a big change on catacombs tho imo
