i have to disagree on some points, but most in here i agree :)

i like never met bad persons on hc. the guys u call "mad " or " bad " are those who alrdy posted here funny stuff , but i cant call em bad. they just like to do fast and safe catas , with people they know / got nice equi / know what they do .
in fact, i dont think 3 alches could need any new player in they group tanking , slacking or afking while using midrange stuff also . so they go for the secure side and pick used players . they still good guys . just separate them from the newbies ( not too hard, they do own runs)

most other players from different guilds are very helpful to newcomers. i just name some i have in my mind right now which are empire, silence, pimpz, oasis ~and ofc some other guilds too .

but if u ask me , hc people are more helpful to newbies as on sc. i just see cry topics there coz caster not healing . lol .

welcome to hc, enjoy ur stay chip !

funny thing ive sold that 25 axe 1 week ago to caoh for his first mq -- he joined empire -- guess rus sold u vs 1 fg :P

yeah, nice group you had :)

I dont blame the "veteran" hc players from avoiding me but it was really nice to see a good group in action. Although my gear is ok/mediocre at lvl 36 I find it disheartening that there isnt much for sale as far as gear is concerned. I would have thought I could have found a lvl 35 or 40 armor with a little ee but THERE IS NOTHING for sale. Even a lvl 40 20 ee chain or plate would sale for a few fg. Do you guys just shrine that gear? IMO I would put some of the higher lvl gear on the market place for a few fg rather than shrine it.

I have to assume that the hc veteran players are set with gear but imo you should sell higher lvl stuff....not looking for 100ee but a nice lvl 40 armor with 20-40ee would help if it was on the mp. I am not rich fg wise and not really asking for help but I would have thought that I could find crap gear for sale. I am getting the feeling that people quit hc due to lack of ok gear at high lvls - just my opinion. Off to grind at lvl 36.

I was thinking exactly the same when I was checking for gear earlier tonight after getting level 40

Was also hoping for a new weapon since my current sword is loaned and I really don't want to rip loaned gear, :(

I do think there is some fg to be made on selling high lvl gear as I cant find one armor with any ee above lvl 35.....there is a nice lvl 40 chain with 21exp gained or some obsciene amt but if i have to solo I need some ee even if its low. IMO stop shrining low ee weaps and armors and put up for sale. Going to get to lvl 38 and call it a night on hc....maybe I will find an armor tomorrow.

I have a ton of gear that I've bought/collected over time that just sits on my characters. I keep my market full of 19.99 or cheaper items, but beyond that I'm not very motivated to post items ft since there's rarely legitimate interest(defined by me as willing to pay a fair price) for the average gear on HC.
There should be like a universal note sent out to contact me if you need starter/average HC gear and are willing to pay for it. :D

I believe newer players would have more luck making an iso thread with info about what types of items they're looking for since it's not profitable for people like me to post items on the MP when 99% of the time will merely time out and cost me the fee.

Thank you for the post. Trying to apply SC logic to HC game which maybe stupid of me but if i found a lvl 40 chain with 23 ee on sc I would just shrine it as I wouldnt think I could get 1fg for it. I would assume that the same is kind of logic is true on hc but imo you could get 2-5fg for it right now as that is what I would pay for an armor like that.

As somone on page 2 of this thread posted gear above lvl 35 becomes scarce and they werent kidding. Havent tried looking for a weapon as I like my 35 club but my 25 armor is only going to carry me so far. I just think there is some fg to be made selling 35+ armors with low ee.

As a SC player I would rather see a 55 toon with 25ee lvl 55 plate than a lvl 25 scale with 75ee(which i dont have just an example). Just the lack of avaiable gear is frustrating. Even if I had 1000fg there is nothing to buy but a nice str robe for 500 which i dont need.

Thanks for post as you were the 1st person I met on hc and helped answer some of my questions.

the gear issue is why I gave up, chip. i wasn't expecting to be able to find a 100ee weapon on the market when i tried it out... but when i searched every day for over a week for 40ee+ gear above level 35 and there was NOTHING, i gave up.

i tried the trade forums too but all i got was a troll telling me to get 10kfg or go home

You obviously aren't cut out for HC or you wouldn't have quit.
For once I'll agree with implite, HC is supposed to be hard.

PS: my double negative gave me a boner.

Thanks for the info and the troll must have been one of the people I have been warned about. I cant wait to start finding high lvl crap that i would normally shrine on sc and selling it for 1-2fg on hc. I truly think there is a market for this and maybe the hc community would have more players if the access to gear was easier to come by. I could be wrong but lack of the availabilty of gear on the mp would be a reason to give up hc. In SC I use gear that didnt sell if i hit ambush or nmnm if i dont have any shrines.

With that being said if i were a dedicated hc player I wouldnt keep paying the "vig" or fee for listing my lvl 20 armor with 120ee. That type of item shouldnt be sold on mp with no buyer imo. Either remove the fee for items on hc until they sell the items that are worth over 20fg. I realize that the fee for the sale of items helps fuel this site but I would vote for the fee to be removed for the hc section until the item is ACTUALLY sold. Might get more gear on the mp or even a reduced fee on hc could work. Instead of 5% make it 2.5% on hc?

I know most are bored by my thread but I am enjoying my time on hc and just want others to learn from my experiences.
