yes, or another way could be that when you join the group, the default position to be is back, in stead of front

I find that if you join the group if it's a good mannered group, will wait and let you know when it's safe. If they don't do you really want to play with those people anyway?

i think newcomers to a goup should not be able to enter in a fight. so this wouldnt be an issue at all. voted yes nontheless.
