Here's how it works:
Swords are Str/Dex ratio of 75/25, that means the bonus effect is 75% of your strength PLUS 25% of your dexterity.
Daggers are Str/Dex ratio of 10/90, that means the bonus effect is 10% of your strength PLUS 90% of your dexterity.

Etc.

So, nothing is nerfed, you just have to adjust your build stat placement. In fact, this BOOSTS dagger wearing classes, since they have naturally higher dex, for instance.


This is EPIC news. I can't wait to cry out a monk now :)

the dmg now is same that before :)

no!!.. the dmg is lowered in game but when i see the char in list characters is the same dmg..

Updated character profiles on the forums to use the same calculations.

And I see that kosmas has already taken advantage of this, and really amped his damage. :)

isnt that very much overpowering dexterity for daggers... i mean u get ur dmg mostly calculated from dex + u get ur chance to crit from dex + u get the crit multiplyer from dex -> absolut overkill for this stat

but daggers are useable on certain robe classes + samu.

also it counts for spears :D


@paul: btw did u fix the exp issue with heavies? no idea if it was intentionally that heavy weapon wearers got more exp in catas...
