Wow, insightful feedback, indeed.
I never play softcore, so I didn't fully consider leechers......................
What if.................
It was Hardcore Only? Nobody tapes their arrow down and goes afk in hardcore.
Music would stack with glyphs. I have no idea about programming, if that's a coding nightmare, but here's another coding nightmare that I mentioned that nobody seems to have noticed....
Musical Life Steal. An instrument with a LS or lpk/a mod would work!
And, after seeing how much people feel this would be overpowered, you would need to have the required level and required proficiency level to use an instrument.
Hardcore will then get Leechers in Catacombs...
Also gaining proficiencies is a no brainer... within a month or two... you will have a person with Rank10 in this musical instrument.
Also a well organised Guild (team/party) that know that they have this at their disposal will take full benefit of its potential.
As for the overpowering thing... I was more thinking of the +STAT items and the %EE items... how does this musical instrument deal
with +30 STR/DEX/INT/VITA items and also deal with 35+ % Heal Mastery?... then there is the 150+% Enhanced Effect items like
weapons and heal charms?
Forget LPK/MPK etc... those other items to me with enhancement make it overpowered.
Maybe I am reading it wrong... this is how I read it:
Play Flute (Rank10)... giving the Party 10% enhanced effect to their items abilities.
Barb has:
+80 Str (2 items)
+50 Dex (1 item)
+30 Int (1 item)
... +15 Str (Glyph)
... +20 Dex (Glyph)
... +18 Int (Glyph)
Now 10% enhancement by person playing Flute Adds to:
Str: 9.5 (89.5)
Dex: 7 (77)
Int: 4.8 (52.8)
Can you see the implementation to a well setup Caster or Hybrid?
Then it adds to the % Enhanced Effect of the item used... whether it is a weapon or charm.

This is not including FISH/COMFREYS that have been "Suffusensed"...

Idea is nice... but I can see how this can be overpowering... but then I could be wrong... and read it wrong...
