I'm just one contestant, but from the way I've run my character so far you just sound really naive.
I am level 59, and have done the climb completely solo, and have never been asked to join a group as a +1.

It's a great way to build the community up. If it weren't for this exact thread... I would have quit at level 7. Now I grinded out the extra three levels knowing that I will get better gear and allow me to play the game further.

Just hit level 1 prof. Currently level 10. I would love a set-up. <3

yes i joined the contest and was first to complete... but i bought most of my gear before the end of the contest and what i got from them i beleieve i won.. in the contes????

Thank you so much by the way.

To be honest, this is my first time playing... So, anything you would feel suitable for a beginner. I do watch my life closely though, no worries on a death. I guess a weapon would be the best thing? A spare armor would be awesome if possible too.

If you bought most of your gear then I have no problem with you selling it. I just imagined most of the gear you got for free from the contest. If I am mistaken the I apologize. It's not really a contest, just a way to get more people interested in the game. I just don't want people to take advantage of this contest and the gear/fg that has been donated to keep it going.

i earned it and lost over 1k fg in gear ... all my MQ gear wich i did not get from the tourney ... when i died on 3rd mq climb....... on lag soloing... so that kind of made my mind up that HC was not for me
