v1.12.3 Released, you can now specify the volume with the sound command.
To mute: /sound 0
Full volume: /sound 100
Default volume: /sound 10

And the regular /sound will toggle between on and off like before. Please note your previously saved settings will disappear now, because I change the way I'm storing this now. Have fun

hm, as i said, great add, but i wonder if it's just me or a general thing

the /sound turn sound on and off , are we supposed to see it or just by testing the current settings (fight a mob, get hit , pick up items)

maybe , if it's not toooo much trouble we could get an "on screen" msg notifier with "sound off" "sound on" or the volume currently set
if it's already happening i'm not getting it (tried relog in after 1.12.3 )

also , maybe a playback as a test when we set sound volume , if possible would be nice (don't want to ask for more than possible in such short notice)

It does show something in the log window. It'll say Sound Volume set to XXXX. If you're not seeing it, you probably are doing the command wrong, or have the wrong version.

I like the add, but the constant attacking sounds get a little annoying

I do like the level up / picking up / prof up sound though

Maybe instead of telling me every time I get hit/hit a mob could it be changed to when a "special attack" happens

i.e. a crit/block/mind numb ect...
