Your idea of renting someone elses gear for a week of slashing has one flaw, he might only put it up for 2 days use, or someone already is using it.
BUT... yes you are correct... that would make you more fg than him for renting it out.

If Jamal did transfer his gear out to friend/guildmate etc, who said he would get his gear back or any fg?
the other person might die, might lose their job, kicked out on the streets and no access to a computer...
could kill someone, go to prison for 20 years...

there is a risk of giving your gear to someone else, whether they are friends, family or guildmates.

Worthless idea. If people set their own prices, then there's no longer any reason to EVER sell gear, which will increase hoarding way more than it is now. If people can't set their own prices, then it's the person putting their item up for "rent" who's getting screwed, not the other way around.




The person who the item is "on" is the owner. So Jamal could simply transfer all his HC gear to a friend or guildmate, and he can now rent it and have no risk for RIPs costing his gear.

You are severly undercutting the rental price of what I would be renting out. A 15 minute glyph of 6 exp sells for 6 fg and sells immediately.... Do you really think I will rent an item for a full day for 5fg that is worth over 100k? Think about it....

BTW, good luck finding any drops to sell that would be any better using someone elses gear.

And 1 day with some of the sweet ML/ee gear out there, a 500 vault full of wellables, and I'm pretty sure I can make up 100x the cost of 5fg x 3 pieces of gear for a day, yes? Not to mention filling in the gaps well enough to make it no longer worthwhile to rent even at 5fg, rather than use my own.

It is there to help people out... On HC everyone fvcking hoards shit and does not even sell it... so it sits there
gathering dust... how does that help new people out... and if you did rent out that hoarded gear, it is getting
used and you are making a little fg at the same time.

Go check out k.impacts characters. He has about 50-75 items he is never going to use and he won't sell them because he is lazy.

And roy will hold everything because he knows you want it.
