Because people that don’t use trash gear rarely hit the per wave cap of prof gain. Rex feels it’s better to hit the max prof per wave instead of the max xp per unit time.

Yes I noticed that's how he thinks but aren't your chances of getting a prof the same hitting the monster in the next wave? In fact better because if you don't kill it at the same time as reaching the prof cap you will be hitting without chance for prof

i think no one understand this guy, but he is killing well monster slow. if u well at the right lvl u almost get every hit +1prof. so he is killing this mob in 10 hit instead of 2.

Well, I tend to pretty much 1-3 hit kill each monster in a catacomb exploring. A wave for solo ranges from 1-3 monster(s) spawning, if I am 1 hit killing each monster with my weapon, I have around 20% chance (based on Bigheaded's tests) to gain 1 prof point = so if I one(1) hit kill, I either get 0 or 1 prof point.

Evil Presence can take longer to kill, and depending on my character level at the time, I can kill an EP ranging from 1-5 hits, on some occasions, it maybe 7-9 attacks.

Welling Monsters ... I use a method to kill off the Well monster within 10-12 actions (melee attacks) and I gain the maximum of 10 prof points 99% of the time ... this is because I use Heavy Weapons.

I also use healing to obtain the rest of the prof points per wave to gain maximum ... say I get 1 prof point from my melee attack and the monster (1) is left alive and I will cast heal on myself to gain another 5-9 prof points, also, healing has a 70% chance to gain a prof point when you use it compared to 20% chance for Melee. (Again, based on Bigheadeds' tests)

And yes, I am more interested in gaining prof points than leveling up to Master Quest fast.

Grats ... the charm is only 2 off of perfect stat (excluding Overspawn) ... kinda sexy in my opinion.

Dang, I only found 1 well, but at low level and it died on the second white I put in it... hope you got a lot of whites done in your well, it seemed to be lucky for ya.
