Is there any chance that the thing where item drops shift place could be disabled? This feature is somewhat problematic when you are soloing and in a fight vs eps and only have a fraction of a second to decide which items you want to pick up. Having them shift places just makes this harder as you then also need to account for where the next item is going to be and just leads to a situation where you need to choose between picking the drops and dieing or not picking them and going to town :P
I have found to view the dropped items backwards (right to left) before clicking them, then when they automatically move to the left, it doesn't interfere with the ones you have not viewed yet... takes awhile, that is also a reason I moved my door next to my character.
