I will agree the game was much harder at the start, but it was also much easier to get good items back then even if you were just selling mutables.

Tim isnt talking about nerfing the entire thing, or anything really. Hes simply pointing out that there have been SEVERAL event categories relating to monster difficulty. I believe theres about 4 or so in that section, that have all spawned for the last months events. And having a difficulty THIS high doesnt do anything for anyone. There are no rewards. Theres no added XP, no added DROPS, nothing. Weve spent hours the past two nights farming, exploring, and trying to have fun. And the most fun weve had is collectively laughing at how horrible the XP and drops are, after so many have claimed and almost sworn to the drops/xp being SO much higher with this event.

Well I will have to put it in these words then since some people don't understand.

1. Previous Events had the same issues before Paul stopped them altogether.
2. People wanted Events to come back and Paul did so.
3. Now TTim and others are crying because 4 in a row 3 day events (use to be 5 day events) have had X% Monster Difficulty.
4. etc

Now... what do people want to happen?

Paul get annoyed at all the bitching about returning events and ADDING an update to them and then cancel them again? Or would you rather find another solution to the issue at hand by other means... here is the list again with an add on.

Options to look at.

1. Reduce higher level monster difficulty levels 75 and higher (NOT the event) Note: this should have been done before with a scale down effect.
2. Return MQ levels to 71
3. Toggle Event on/off (for those that want to)
4. Reduce the Monster Attack abilities like Multi-strike etc.
5. Add in higher Tier MQ items
6. Increase Heal Mastery Mod to help heal better. (Maybe not as great as it use to be, but better)

END NOTE: The toggle on/off is for two reasons;

1. People like me that want that option
2. When a crappy event comes up and does nothing for the player because they don't do any of the things that the event gives X% to.

EDIT: Doesn't matter anyway... either the next event in just over 15 hours will have Monster Difficulty or not... if it does and people don't like it... think of it another way;

"oh look, one person won the Jackpot 4 times in a row, let us stop that from happening by saying once a person wins it, they can't win it in the next one"

Events didnt get removed cuz there were any fuckin issues LOL. they got removed during rewrite. and they were promised back at a later time.

All your "options to loot at." is litteraly garbage.

1. no need to reduce higher lvl monster difficulty
2. Return to force highest tier characters to drive every single climb ? fuck off
3. just retarded (litteraly want to change the full game?)
4. what are you talking about ? nerfing their abilities for what reason ? make the game overall easier from base ? (again, litteraly want to change the full game?)
5. Pointless when no items are dropping.
6. i refer to 5.


all in all, your points are garbage. Nerfing/tweaking some of the event mods should not be a huge deal, and would fix alot of the current issues, and it is clear that tweaking the vent mods is not a huge deal, cuz they def have been altered with clear to see, when you make a comparison to events after rerelease + 6 months and now -6 months

Will you complain if you had 4 consecutive Events with any of these?
"X% Drop Rate increase", "X Magic Luck", "XX% increase Item Stat Quality", "+X Evil Well longevity" or anything that is better for you.

Not likely aye... those are nice event mods right... so you want to cry over Monster Difficulty because you had it appear in the last 4 events, oh fuck off and cry to idiots that really don't give a fuck and just agree with you just to shut you up.

Mob difficulty is going to be part of the updates, but it would be nice if they were spaced out a bit .
This, I think, is the general feeling of most slashers.
After a long period of steak, some a bit tougher than others, a change to Mac'n'Cheeze would be welcome

How goes it Rick? I see you have moved, hope you enjoy it there.

Spacing them out for events is like removing the "RNG" from "Events"... it is just dumb luck that there were so many in a row.

It is like solo'ing, you fall through a shit load of Trap Doors and can not kill them fast enough, so you leave the catacomb and remake a new game (Hence another reason for toggle on/off for new players, especially when other Event mods don't apply).

That is why I stated in an earlier post to TTim: "Forest through the Trees" ... or in other words, "just dumb luck, be thankful it is only 12 days and not 20."

EDIT: Actually, it may only be a glitch/bug, so if it appears again, report it to Paul.
