Literally just started playing hardcore about 3 nights ago waiting for a trade to go through in d3, i didnt really think that there would be anybody playing the game but i decided to peak in the forums anyhow!

I am currently a level 5 Barb hardcore (second one :P) I would love to participate but I dont know what i should focus on ranking up!

Well since you just started i would advice getting some swords with EE...
You can go from feeder to monk with them.
And focus on your sword prof.

Struggling atm with swords and axes for people, have a suggestion out of current sets that the daggers is one of the best, along with staffs lmk what you guys want!

I have a question if you dont mind. Can we do both weapon and skill ranks or just one? I tried glyph and transmute box and don't know what will use as weapon. Have used a club when started, but now changed with an axe which has more base damage. Do i have to pick weapon type before joining?
And why when use magical(1stats line) item with mystical (3stats lines) essence, receive back magical item? Do you get back the lower type/class of item or essence?

you must use a weapon or a charm, the skills have been taken out of this due to the fact that with some of them, you dont even need to play the game to get ranks in them. and you get prof based on being an efficient player, it gets awarded on clicks, so would need to be a weapon, attack charm or heal prof im afraid.

If can't pick two choices for weapon, then i would stay with club. Would have pick axe, but if that doesn't drop then i am stuck while wearing club.
Have one character and i want to enter with him in weapon ranks contest.

i have sent you 5fg not linked in with this competition so that you can scour the market for 1fg weapons and get a feel for what you like, remember that enhanced effect is the best stat you need on a weapon, and 35+ from tier III items is best for you

Bought axe level 15 (didn't found a cheaper one on marketplace) and level III charm with strength. Haven't found any armor from 1-15 that i can buy for 1 gold and will use the level III one that i just found at evils. Have to play with more attention because i barely escaped with 5hp and that really scared me.

I am almost level 13 and i just sawed a level 15 armor with EE for 2 gold on market, that's a pretty good chance to improve my current. If anyone could help me with 1 gold would be awesome. At level 15 will have gear to go to 25 for sure.
