Marketplace Rentals
Note: Please read it fully before judging this idea.
This is where you can rent out your spare items at a price.
The person that HIRES the item pays forum gold to use.
There is of course the standard market fee involved.
Rental price is set by how many days they will rent item out. 5fg per day of use.

How this works:
When an item is put up for rent by the owner, they choose MAXIMUM days they are willing to rent it out for.
When a person wants to HIRE that item, they choose how many days they want to use it for, WITHIN the renters maximum days.
The original item does NOT leave the owners possession, instead, a GHOST image of that item is given to the HIRER.
Since it is a GHOST image, it can NOT be sold... if the person dies with the GHOST image the item is not lost.
When the chosen days are used up, the GHOST image disappears from the Hirers possession.
If there are any remaining days left over, that many will show up in the Marketplace.
You can NOT put a GHOST image up in the rental section.
If the person finds a replacement, they can return the GHOST image to MPR even if the days have not been fully used up.
NO REFUNDS

You can't do this for hardcore, softcore maybe. But if it was on hardcore why would anyone use real items instead of your "ghost" items?

Either way, I think if there were some sort of fg reward per MQ, it might be an incentive for play to play more or to start the game

So the hardcore players can share their HOARDED ITEMS to the newcomers... and to those that are looking for their own items.

Edit: No "hoarding" on HC is anywhere near the kind of control he and his guild had on the best gear in HC.

This is a bad idea. Those who have good gear would be making bank, and those with not so good gear would be completely useless and unable to make fg.

All this is, is a way to make the wealthy richer. If I could charge people Fg to use all my items without the fear of losing it or having it stolen/shrined/trashed/etc, It would be completely UNFAIR!

I think you're missing my point. If the item won't dissapear upon death, you could have a friend rent out your own item and merely use a ghost image of it. That way if you die you won't have to worry about your items dissapearing.
If you did implement that the item would dissapear on death, nobody would rent out the item in the first place. IF the idea is viable, it won't be on hardcore.

dont agree with bolded idea nb but this what i selected give u chance to avoid losing item cuz of RIP so it will be like backup (rolback etc)
imo what is best @ hc when u die u lost all
