I liked this idea a lot, Malte! I don't play much since the removal of the arena, but I feel that this could bring back players, and spice up the game for those who do love it.

Because it would take more skill out of playing, flood the market with more avg gear, and make some priceless gear obsolete. In a smaller player base it would make group climbing even less because it supports solo more. Who would want to group climb if u had a driver driving fast for you, a chance at increased drops that your 100% gonna get? Especially in a time that full groups are harder to get.

Well the idea behind it is that the driver just gets increased not to be as useless at it is right now.
I believe driving yourself would still be faster than the autopilot for the pro guys so that it does require skill still.
But the driving keeps a LOT players of playing at all, so this compromise would help to make them return hopefully.

The additional idea about the mcc would require a lot skill/knowledge regarding stat distribution
and especially increase the gears value again as you cant do long chains with any gear but need specific.
These days, most of the gear is worthless because high end gear is just not needed to play the game.
Basically, its just another attempt to bring new challenges to the game, thats what its lacking atm.

Question is if it wouldnt bring a lot people back to the game as group climbing is more or less impossible anyway with the current player base.
But i doubt it can be fixed with one issue, it needs a lot things to be updated and changed so there is a lot more than the auto pilot mentioned here also.
Thats what i meant with "why not reading further?" There are a lot other great ideas and discussion throughout the entire topic and happy for any more addition to it!

Great ideas and all well written Malte :)

I hope new autopilot system will be added asap, it's so retarded to spin ~ 2 hours + during climb (most of ppl hate driving)
I started ls few years ago cuz there was chance to make some fg, than i liked this game and still playing even You only "waste" fg atm,
like You said, new players need to play other games to start this one, selling whites it's just little add to help those ppl start ls.
I wish at least some of Your ideas will be loaded into this game...

Other than that I like everything else. I think the auto-pilot getting faster with chain is a little tough to manage, maybe just 1 constant speed that is faster than the current.

Why not take all the ideas posted that you find good, make a list (numbered) in a new thread and get people to quote list and let them vote which ideas they like.
Then maybe one or more of the ideas will get some thought to implementing into the game by Paul.

1. Increase the droprate of white tier items only, within characters level range. (more wellable items)
2. Increase the healing capacity of the charms. (since nerf of Heal Mastery with one of the last updates)
3. Introduce a new "CHALLENGING" area for those that want a Challenge:
... Difficulty = Monster Health Increased by 50% / ALL Damage increased by 20-30% / Resistences increased by 20-30%
... Benefits = Increased XP rate / increased Prof Gain / Double GPs
4. Introduce Tier items for level 70 / 80 and 90 to benefit those gamers that want to get to level 101.
5. Add a button "Solo" like "Create Group", when you select Solo... 20% increased XP gain / Increased Prof Gain (no chain, no increased droprate)
6. Instead of maximum of 3 objectives being listed, make it 5. (this will give more chances of people getting objectives within the level range)

Note: I think most of these ideas have been mentioned, just wanted to bring them up again... :)
