sword hands down looks like a lil less but the sword will just just under duble the dmg the heavy will do

Ok so this is the gear i used. we originally started with lvl 15 armor since his was not ee it was str. i have 100 str and 75 dex. Lost each time even once with 25 armor. Massive Dmg pretty much from the polearm. only problem with this test is was done basically 3 times. each of which i lost. it was close each time so id say that if the 180 was in my hands it would be even more close or we would switch off back and forth. PvP the poleamr is were its at. but as far as PvM which is what slasher is pretty much about unless you play hc more pvp there id got with sword all the way. Just my 2 cents

The 180 sword listed is my guildies ill pm him when he is on and we will try to use that for a better baseline if youd like to keep that char lvl 34.

I think what your experiencing is the fact that the heavy weapons do not have a delay on their first attack, giving them a small advantage which gets smaller as the duel goes on... I'm assuming your duels were pretty short.

Very much so they lasted no longer then approximatley 5-10 secs more on the 5 side i understand what you mean on the delay thou we start hit at same time. i still say swords better for PvM arena or cats. but for pvp i would prob pick the polearm.

i dislike heavy weapons in the arena and would opt for a capped axe any day

swords don't need dex stfu
also, you can't duel to test this because monsters have much worse defense than you do
and you're not even using a similar sword, yet you're claiming this test is similar....

It's degenerated to postulating by kids with no knowledge of mechanics and even less knowledge of middle school math

you did not read all of what i posted swords do need dex and i wasn't sure if i wanted to lower my stats just to be nearer to his if you want crits you want decent dex. and as i previously stated PvM which is what LS is about for most of us SWORDS ARE BETTER imho. however if you were to PVP i wouldn't completly disregard the polearm as i wuold for PvM. This test was not accurate as our gear is diff our level were diff it was somethign i wanted to see or i would have never done it. had my sword 40% ee less won what would that have said? b4 you thrash me READ.
