Loans are not supported by the staff and are at both individual's own risk. Normally people will not loan a new user with low posts and no credibility, and it is not a good idea to make a topic asking for one. There are many ways of making FG however, you can play other games such as D2/WoW/Neopets/Pokemon/League of Legends just to name a few. You can also make FG by doing work in the Graphics section making signatures/graphics, as well as the Homework Helpline.
It is bad-mannered to make a price-check topic on an item you don't own, but that has not stopped people from doing it. As far as an actual "rule" I don't think one exists for price-checking. I know you are not usually allowed to trade items that are not on your account, but there is nothing really written about a price check.
Feel free to PM me if you have questions on the value of an item, I'd be happy to help, and I don't usually see it as BM if you are wondering what something is worth regardless if you own it or not, how else is a new player supposed to know?
