i think muting is nerved too hard

but this would be okay if muting would go faster than now

i agree that you can mute every 2000 essences a good item

but not if i need arrround 5 min each item ^^

I mean, it takes years and years to get muting to that level. It should be rewarding...

Tbf it also takes years and years of farming/soloing and you still rarely find anything higher than mediocre

Even though muting is bad, I don't think it's (much) worse than soloing for drops, they both feel equally unrewarding

This was my thought, nothing in this game is rewarding. Idk why muting would be different

If you actively mute you can easily see the difference. The only ones that can truly attest to that are the muters.

If you don't transmute, how valid is an opinion?

Just saying....

From my personal experience and opinion, I strongly disagree.
I can't give you numbers, but I have invested 10x more of my time in transmuting than I have killing monsters; and killing monsters will win every time in terms of finding something rewarding. And yes I'm talking about mediocre to higher end items - I do however, have a small sample size in my blogs if you want a little data - but for the amount of time I have put into transmuting over the past year I don't have anything to show for it in comparison to my looting blog.
And like I said, I have spent the majority of the last year focusing solely on transmuting and not farming monsters.

The only advantage to transmuting is that you are able to specifically roll on an item and pray that it comes out to the stat you want.

I would rather the "loot rates and mute rates" however you want to put it, NOT be affected at all.............but for the love of god, can re-rolling with essences please be sped up some? If I have 1,000 magical essences to roll on a lvl 15 dagger I'm not even going to bother because it can take me 3-straight days of rolling that to find nothing & also not be gaining any experience from it.

Rerolling should be instant with no experience. Then ALL levels of rolling an item would be worthwhile to keep and essences might have more value. Just my thought.

That sounds wonderful.
But my concern would be for new muters trying to rank up. Not trying to make this about me, but recalling my grind from when I started muting; the re-rolling of the essences for the prof in particular kept me going with the thought in mind of finding that hard earned drop.
What would your thoughts be if it was the way it was now - but if the essence was BELOW your rank only then it would become instantaneous?

tl;dr even tho not possible for me:
From what I understand you're saying, rolling on any essence = instant with no experience
From what I'm saying only if you've "out-ranked" the essence would it now be instant with no experience. If it's still inside your rank, it would not be instant and you still get that exp gain.

Can't speak for muting and I believe you ofc. Lots of people have complained

But just a quick rough estimate:

You're rank 44 muting + some % which is about 1000 k prof points total

We previously agreed that you get around 1k prof per 1h spent, so if we don't count any non prof mutes you might have rolled, that's around 1000k hours spent

It usually takes me around 5 hours to do a full solo climb the way I do it with all the welling/exploring/wearing ml

The last good item I found was (below) and I found it around May 15th last year

Mystical ice X
Level Req: 35
Spell Damage: 135 to 162
Mana Cost: 77

+170% Enhanced Effect
+5% Experience Gained
+1 Jubilance

I must have done 100 solos and some group explores / mirror mazes since and the best drop I got is this:

Rare adamantium chain mail
Level Req: 35
Physical Defense: 92 to 231
Magical Defense: 0 to 58

+193% Enhanced Effect
+3% Damage Return

Even though it's a decent drop, it's still a chain. And the game drops chains/plates/clubs/ 70% of the times cause they're worth nothing

So for the past 500-600 playing hours or so my best drops are that chain plus these 2:

Mystical embossed leather armor
Level Req: 25
Physical Defense: 29 to 87
Magical Defense: 18 to 74

+132% Enhanced Effect
+7 Strength
+2% Life Steal

Magical wind IX
Level Req: 30
Spell Damage: 43 to 193
Mana Cost: 69

+139% Enhanced Effect

Everything else is 100 - 300 fg at most. I'd like to point out that both the chain + the ice dropped from welling and I think one of the other 2 drops was also from a well

This is extremely important, because I've spent roughly 15 - 20k fg on buying whites on top of the 5 - 10k I would've made on selling the ones I find. So I'm trying to "force" a drop and in the end I've still scored a massive loss regardless

I can theory craft further, but the post is already too long :D
