Master Quest level for Samurai and above is now +2 per class. Samurai is level 73, Alchemist is level 85. This ratio matches the old hidden experience penalty. (Aug 16 2018)

Read patch notes. Hidden experience tax removed and put to the other side of the equation. Net effect = actual buff since you get full gain from %exp gear, and other party members aren't slowed during the initial climb.

edit: well, unless you were already near MQ level prior to the update, then this climb will be a bit of double whammy. Sorry.

This has happend to me

Very long time it happens when I have an item selected and am dragging it around and then I use my mouse 3 for push to talk and release the item

If you are dragging and item and accidentally left click it will do that until you reload the page. This was part of the live version before the first rewrite too

did a 2 door mq (and still failed) and also a 4 door. the dynamic of some classes being able to mq before others will take some time to get used to.

overall seemed to be running fine.

How can this ever Match the old penalty ? higher classes just got an extra struggle to go trough. more lvls + harder monsters. how do you think this will affect soloing as you progress on the ladder ?? normally im the guy who says the game is good, but i think this is a failure. you will need pretty good gear to be able to enjoy this just a tad.

Because math.

Alchemists had > 20% experience penalty. 20% of 70,000,000 (your experience @ level 71) = 14,000,000 = 14 levels.

Now, couple this with your +experience% gear now working at full power (+ the alchemist online bonus), and you're in for even more experience than you could possibly gain before (which offsets the slightly harder monsters above level 71).

I'm not changing it back to a hidden penalty.
