Not a fail for Hardcore, it is 1/3 enhanced effect combined with over 3/5 max mana ... or 10-15 levels mana pool.
Things are easier with low level items with +Max Life/Mana equivalent to 10+ levels or stat points.

Most of us consider 1/3 ee spawn to be a fail Rex. By most I mean all but you.

You and the rest of the community make me laugh. Why you ask... it is simple when people look at the mathematical equations based on the facts produced by the portal information:

3-8 Tier I Fire base damage
6-16 Tier II Fire base damage
9-24 Tier III Fire base damage

Now... if you take 20% enhancement for a TierI or TierII fire charm... they will NOT even deal the equivalent damage as a Normal Tier III fire charm.
Note: TierI max EE = 20%, TierII max EE 40% does not compete in damage output for a TierIII white item. So, a 1/3 ee TierIII drastically increases killspeed from 1-5.

Now... if you want to learn basic maths even more when comparing the + Max Mana pool on a TierIII item from level 1-5 versus the stat point allocation equivalent, then
you will need to realize that 1 point into Intelligence = 3 mana pool points... so... if you have a base of 60 intelligence points, this = 180 mana pool, so... if an item has
+ 180 mana from level 1-5, that is basically equivalent to a character having 180 intelligence points.

Argue minor semantics of 1 point per level etc, but, when you start out on a Hardcore character, all your points go into Vitality for at least the first 20 levels.

Counter arguments please for Hardcore gamers... as for softcore... you don't lose shit, so don't bother arguing about Prof points blah blah blah... think about what you would cry about if you lost your items and everything you worked for.

EDIT: If some people thought about gaining prof points, they would NOT look towards Enhanced Effect items... think about it, I got to rank 15 Sword without even doing my first MQ, then got to 22 on that character before deleting it.

Well my 60ee lvl 0 shows 38 top end damage on a character with 5 int. That being said it regularly 1 hits things lvl 1-5 on caster classes. To you this might mean nothing because you will argue "just hit it again" but that second action is wasted time and thus Id rather eliminate it. Beyond that with a perfect charm I still need 20 prof to max out the damage on the charm. With another 20% you are doing nearly twice as much as a charm without ee. This doesnt even take into account your int boost.

T3-5 are plentiful enough there is no reason to settle for junk drops.

Great point... YOUR 60 ee versus a newcomer or person that has nothing is sexy, where-as this is Average... what are you disputing... shit, my TierIII chain is sexy compared to a 20ee Tier III chain with same external mods:

Angelic bronze chain mail,
Level Req: III
Physical Defense: 19 to 49,
Magical Defense: 0 to 14,
+58% Enhanced Effect,
+9 Strength,
+1 to 6 Life per Kill,
+6% Heal Mastery


If my TierIII chain was 20% ee, it is still way better than a 60% ee chain TierIII

Once again, you prove my point... low end gear that I posted is still regarded as average... prove me wrong! You and many others can't, that is because your comparison is based on better gear for that level... level 0

EDIT: that is why this thread is for failed drops, but again some items are AVERAGE drops... if people don't have a braincell to comprehend this, then stfu and realize that not everyone has gear like YOU or even ME at low level... whether it drops frequently... shit, I haven't seen any good drops equal to my TierIII chain since 5 years ago when I found it.

Re EDIT: Talking solely on Hardcore, so anything related to SC debating HC is irrelevant, so keep out of it.
